Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask Reviews

My go to mask for acne...
I am 37 with acne and have been using the Proactiv refining mask for years. The Proactiv mask works great but the smell is overwhelming. I decided to give the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask a try. I love this mask. I can actually see it working on my large pores. I love the fact that Origins is all natural and this doesn't smell like rotten eggs! — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 6 people said helpful

Wonderful Clarifying Mask
I have tried quite a few clay-type masks meant to extract all the gunk from your face to help minimize the appearance of pores and aide breakouts. While I have yet to try a real dud, many of them are just OK and often times they can be quite uncomfortable to use, leaving skin overly tight and dry. The Origins Charcoal mask is one of the greats. It may feel look like you are applying wet tar to your face, but it is easy to smooth over everything and so comfortable to use. While the mask is on, you seem to feel that something is happening, but still without any tingling or tightness. It has a very slight cooling effect that feels really nice. This is not a total hassle to remove either, like many other clarifying masks can be. It does help to use a warm washcloth though and then you get the added benefit of a light exfoliation. When I wash this off my skin looks and feels really nice. My skin looks fresh, new and clear. Although I don't suffer from many blemishes, I am prone to blackheads and my pores look larger than I would like. This mask makes a noticeable difference. Using this once a week has helped minimize the amount of blackheads on my nose and cheeks. This won't be a total fix for the problem, but no skincare product is. This is not just for those with oily, blemish prone skin in my opinion. I have combination/dry skin and it works well for me, using it once every one to two weeks. The bottle is $23 and will last quite a long time. If you only use this on your t-zone or problem areas, it will last even longer. I love the affect that this mask gives my skin, but I especially love that I don't have to undergo an uncomfortable and potentially irritating experience to benefit from the lovely affects of such a clarifying mask. If you suffer from large pores and/or blackheads or any sort of congestion, this is worth testing out. Origins makes a smaller bottle of this too if you don't want to commit to the full size. You have nothing to lose! — 4 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 5 people said helpful

I love this mask!
I got a new tube of this charcoal mask and used it today...I'm regretting going without for a while because it works so well. It cleaned out my pores so good my face is glowing with freshness and it feels amazingly fresh as well. Well worth the $21 for the many uses you get of this mask! — 2 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 8 people said helpful

Wow
I've never had a mask do what this one did! This mask is like a vacuum cleaner for your pores. I am in my 30's and still get acne and blackheads on my chin and nose. After a couple of uses, my skin is amazingly clear. I have spent SO MUCH MONEY over the years trying to find products that work with adult skin. Almost everything is meant for teenagers. I love the Origins line because it treats my skin without stripping it completely dry and leaving it dull, blotchy and flakey. It doesn't take much to cover your entire face, so I will definitely get my money's worth out of this! — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 9 of 10 people said helpful

It's OK.
the the most amazing acne treating mask i've come across. It's kinda fun since it's black (do NOT let your significant other see you in this lol) It made my skin feel nice and soft but didn't much for my breakouts. — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 4 people said helpful

Works Pretty Good
I used this mask in the past and it did a pretty good job. It cleaned my pores without irritating. In helping with oil control however, it didn't perform well. Would be good for normal/oily skin that needs a less intense deep cleaning. — 4 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 5 people said helpful

Amazing!
The only Origins nearby where I live closed down just recently, which makes this probably the last Origins product I'll ever use. -sniff- Well, Origins' masks tend to be amazing. This is thick, goopy, and wonderful. It doesn't irritate and it's relatively scent-less (I think it's geared towards men). It lasts forever if you use it twice a week, and a little goes a long way due to it's thick consistency. It's a bit pricey and hard to wash off, however but it does wonders for my oily skin and acne!! Definitely a must buy if you're a regular Origins buyer. — 2 years, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 2 people said helpful

Seriously the Best!
I have a pretty clear completion, except for the black heads I've had on my nose for as long as I can remember. I've tried everything, pore strips, baking soda, prescription creams, etc. My dermatologist even told me there isn't much I can do for the deep imbedded black heads. I went to Sephora recently and purchase Tarte poreless primer. It's great and keeps my makeup from clogging my pores. At this time I received a sample of this Origins product and was amazed when I used it. It made my nose feel exfoliated and smooth. After using it 4 or 5 times, I noticed my blackheads were almost completely gone. Absolutely an amazing product. Must purchase! — 2 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Best Mask Ever
I love this mask. I have never had much luck with masks, I usually find they don't do anything. This mask on the other hand has given me really impressive results. I saw immediate results after the first time I used this, a bunch of the black heads on my nose and chin had completely disappeared. The pimples on my chin were less red then they had been previously. It does sting quite a bit the first 10 seconds after I put it on but that fades pretty quickly. I have combination skin with my nose being pretty oily, my chin and forehead a little oily and my cheeks are normal. I was worried this would dry out my cheeks but it didn't at all. I don't think this would be great for people with sensitive skin or people with dry but acne prone skin, it might be too harsh. Right now I am using this twice a week because the heat and humidity has made my skin much oilier than it usually is. It doesn't take much to cover my face completely, sometimes I misjudge and put too much on by accident but thats me. I have been using it for two weeks and the tube looks like I haven't used any at all. The price is really reasonable for such an effective product and a little goes a long way. I highly recommend this mask! — 10 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Nice tingle!!
Seriously LOVE this mask!! Has totally helped my oily skin without drying it or making it feel "tight". I also love the warm tingling feeling when I put it on. Loved it the moment I tried it. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
