Effective and Gentle Exfoliator
Another winner from Origins. I have sensitive, combination/dry skin and I use the modern friction exfoliator about twice a week after cleansing. The smell is light and natural and the consistency is thick but very easily spreadable. I use this on damp skin and a very small amount goes a long way. When you add more water before rinsing a luxurious lather forms which makes rinsing quite easy. This exfoliator is effective at removing dead skin and keeping face clear of blackheads and clogged pores. It doesn't feel like it is tearing my face apart which is great. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Gentle and effective
This is a great exfoliation product for sensitive or dry skin. Unlike some of the products that use "natural" scrubbers like ground walnut shells or apricot seeds, this one uses little round balls that won't tear your skin to pieces. I admit I had thought that rougher was better when it came to exfoliators but all I was doing was causing more redness and breakouts. Now my skin simply glows after using this. I do wish it was in a tube for easier use in the shower, but that's the only thing that can be fixed about this product. — 3 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful

Love & Live by this!
I LOVE this stuff! I generally apply it after I get out of the shower and leave it on my face for a few minutes! My skin always feels like it says "Thank You" to me after using it. This Is The Kind Of Friction We All Need In Our Lives
I am a big fan of products that exfoliate, and Origins Modern Friction is on the top of my most used beauty products. Rice starch sloughs off dead skin cells; the lemon oil not only smells good but illuminates your skin; bergamot and peppermint give you that quintessential Origins' pick-me-up; and aloe calms the skin. As a frequent Retin-A user, Modern Friction "buffs" away the scales and dry skin without leaving my face raw like other dermabrasion/exfoliation products have in the past. If you are NOT in need of major "buffing," I would try Origins Never A Dull Moment, which I used before graduating to Modern Friction. The only warning, be careful not to get this near your eyes because the lemon oil burns! I have been careless too many times and my eyes watered for an hour. You apply this to a clean face and use circular motions to "buff" your face. Put a little water on your hands and continue buffing for a few minutes. Wash off and your skin should be as smooth as a baby's. — 5 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 8 of 9 people said helpful

Origins Modern friction
I used this product awhile back when I was suffering from some adult skin problems;cleared up my skin beautifully. Love to make it a staple but it's a little pricey for me. If I were to splurge on a skincare product this would be it. — 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Love this scrub!
Because I have teenage skin and I use a lot of acne treatments, my face can get a little rough from all the abuse and hormones. After using this, my skin feels brand new and so incredibly smooth. I also like to leave it on for several minutes kind of as a mask before rinsing it off. I'd recommend this to anyone. — 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

A lot of work but good results
This is a nice scrub. I was worried that it would be a lot like other natural scrubs that had sharp scrubby things in it, but the little beads feels very gentle. The texture of the creme part of the scrub is a bit odd, kind of slime like and a bit difficult to control when applying. The first time I used this I tried to do it as the directions said, apply on dry skin and scrub. This method I didn't love, even though I don't have sensitive skin it felt a bit too harsh and I had to use a lot to cover my face. I prefer to use a bit of water, either on my face or hands. I need less of the scrub and it doesn't feel as harsh. It is not the easiest thing to rinse off either. I think what makes it difficult to rinse is what makes it gentle and non-stripping/drying so I can forgive that, just take your time rinsing. The results really are great, I have seen a lot of improvement using this just once or twice a week. — 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

One of my faves
This product leaves skin smooth and fresh. My only gripe is it really burns the inside of my nose. I like to use this around my bikini area too when hair starts growing back from a wax. Good amount of product for the cost. May not be suitable for cystic acne as it has scrub properties. great exfoliator
I first tried this product a few years ago, and I loved it. My skin felt smooth, looked luminous and the scent was wonderful. I like how this works and think that my skin looks more radiant after each use. I use it approximately every three weeks, since I feel that's enough for my skin. (I alternate with regular facial scrubs). My advice would be to apply it to a slightly damp face if you have sensitive skin and to be careful when applying it, since it can make your eyes sting for a bit. — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
