Supermodel in a Bottle.
I have never stayed with the same foundation for more than one bottle/tube. I don't have that 'difficult' skin, really; I just want something light-weight, yet buildable, that easily blends and covers redness, uneven areas and occasional breakouts. But I could never have been prepared for... Mineralize Satinfinish. I use the #109 brush - and it is hard to describe how amazing my skin looks... It moisturizes. Lets is breathe. And most of all: I look like I woke up this morning with airbrushed, natural-looking, healthy, even, PERFECT skin. Finally! I have that luminous old hollywood starlet skin!!!
This stuff is the best moisturizer I've had by far... (And trust me I've had the cheap stuff & the ridiculously expensive stuff). The foundation has a little more color than your average tinted moisturizer but isn't a very heavy coverage. It has a light build able coverage & leaves my skin satin smooth all day long. This is great!
I must first mention that I have not strayed from my beloved Bare Escentuals foundation in 6 years...but I recently bought this because I'm a product addict and love to try different things. Although I know this is NOT a mineral foundation I wanted it because I liked the dewy look it gave my skin. After getting a sample of it and Studio Fix (way too heavy for me)from the MAC counter I returned and...read more bought it. I'm a NW30. I used the sample the girl at the counter fixed for me in the tiny little black jar and really liked it. So..out for the real deal. I think this might turn into my winter foundation. My skin tends to get dry in the winter and the MAC Mineralize gives me the added moisture it is craving. It gives great coverage but it's not a heavy feel. The reflective properties of it help reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. If you're loking for full-coverage-hide everything this is not for you. But if you want a your-skin-but better-look this really is a fantastic product. I love the look it gives me and I'm actually not having to wear a concealer under my eyes while using this. I am having a hard time getting used to the smell and the fact that it will come of on clothes or anything because of my years of no-budge Bare Escentuals which stays put no matter what. But this is giving me a youthful dewy look and I will continue to use this around my eye area even when I use my beloved mineral makeup again. The pump is very sanitary and I'm loving the fact that it's not a messy liquid foudation. I have used my fingers and a foundation brush to apply it and have been very pleased with both results. It's got more coverage than a tinted moisturizer but less than a regular foundaton. It gives just the right amount of coverage and gives skin a healthy dewy glow that is simply beautiful! I adore the satin finish it gives. Nothing is worse than a dull, dry face. If you're prone to breakouts or have oily skin this might not be a product for you. Love It!!!
This foundation is great! It does need to be applied with a light hand and does not do well with powder. I put it on sparingly and let it dry/absorb and then use a bronze powder to highlight sunkissed areas. great foundation for drier skin

Good, but can easily lend itself to "greasy"
Great foundation, overall. If applied to heavily (or not enough powder/setting dust is used) this can quickly lead to being the "head grease-ball". One of the best
After using other M.A.C. foundations, I thought I was satisfied, until I tried this one. This formula comes close to being perfection in a bottle. Very lightweight (especially for someone who dislikes the sensation of a heavy-feeling face at the end of the day) and it lasts from morning until night, which is perfect for après-work socializing.
