Love the colors, love the cause.
All MAC lipsticks are fabulous, but the Viva Glam lipsticks are especially awesome becauseEVERY cent from the purchase of Viva Glam products goes to the MAC Aids Foundation. That's impressive. And the Viva Glam colors tend to be flattering for almost all skintones. The finishes vary, but all of them look great on your lips, apply evenly and have the signature MAC vanilla scent. They wear off fairly evenly as well, so no need to worry about the dreaded lipstick ring around your lips. However, they are a bit drying. The price is reasonable, at $14.50 a piece. I like that they have special red metal tubing to differentiate them from the regular MAC line, and the signatures on the tube are also a nice touch. I have Viva Glam VI, Viva Glam Gaga 1, and Viva Glam Cyndi. I'm sad Cyndi was discontinued, because it's the most amazing shade of red. It's moderately pigmented, and can be sheered or blotted to be a hint of red, or it can be layered on for a more intense red. It's a great "beginner's red." viva la lipstick
My sister and I both bought this lipstick as it looked great on both of us. We bought viva glam VI. It has a hint of shimmer to it which the lipstick states is the lustre formula. I think this would look good on any number of people with different skin tones. I have very fair skin and it looks great on me. I have bough it twice now. It lasts a few hours about the same as any other lippy. I dno't liked a lot of scent in my lipsticks, but this one doesn't bother me. It smells a little bit sweet to me. Worth it!
I have this lipstick in Viva Glam IV and I adore it. It has a light vanilla scent that is so much better than the perfume-y, makeup-y smell a lot of lipsticks have. The shade I have is a bit too dark and shimmery for me to wear for day, but I love it for cocktail parties and during the holidays. It's richly pigmented, goes on smoothly, and lasts and lasts without clumping or feathering. Viva Glam Lipstick
The III and the wearable red, Viva Glam I, are soft and creamy and not terribly expensive, considering they are department store cosmetics. You can't really say that many beauty products that you buy actually give back but this lipstick does! This lipstick's formula is almost like the slimshine formula. High-maintenance but gorgeous and glam
I went to MAC determined to walk away with a red lipstick that would actually look good on me. I have very fair, freckled skin and red hair. Every red I've ever tried has looked ugly and orange-y. The first lipstick the salesperson suggested was VGI, and it looked great on me. It's a true red and it really lights up my blue eyes. I like the texture, but I need to exfoliate and moisturize my lips and apply lip liner before I use this product, otherwise it feathers, dries out my lips, and quickly fades. I got VIVA GLAM Cyndi today.....what can I say but WOW! I don't usually wear lipstick ( I have a tendency to get it all over myself) but this is really good. Glam It Up
Bold colors and a pretty tube. The Viva Glam lipsticks have been a real hit. I have 2 color and wear occasionally. I do find they are a bit drying after you have them on for awhile.
