I am a cleanliness freak.

I like to keep my brushes free of any bacteria. That is why I bought this. It's MAC (always good), and it does a good job with cleaning brushes.

Quick Cleaner

When I want to thoroughly clean my brushes, I use good old-fashioned baby shampoo, but when I need to quickly clean a brush or two and can't afford to wait ages for them to dry, I use MAC's brush cleanser. The best thing though is that when I use this, my brushes dry super fast. Compared to thoroughly wetting and washing my brushes with shampoo, the MAC cleansing method takes much less time to get my brushes clean and my brushes are hardly out of commission. Using this intermittently on just a few brushes at a time, my bottle has lasted me several months. I would not recommend this product as your only method of cleaning your brushes, but I would definitely recommend it for quick and easy "spot cleaning".

Ive tried better..

This is just an ok brush cleaner in my opinion.. I wouldnt use this for a deep cleaner, but it gets the job done for when you need just a quick clean. I clean my brushes very very often, pretty much everday or even two or three times a day depending on how many clients I have, so the size of this bottle didnt last me very long =(

Great, but not economically reasonable

I clean my brushes after every single use and do a deep cleaning with baby shampoo every 2 weeks or so. I used to use this brush cleanser with a paper towel everyday and got through an entire bottle within a few weeks! After a while, I got a little tired of spending all that money on bottles of cleanser that get used up so quickly. If you look at the ingredients list on this cleanser, it is nothin...read moreg more than regular rubbing alcohol, water, some conditioning agents for your brush and fragrance and artificial colors. You can make your own brush cleanser at home, people!!! Buy an empty spray bottle from a drug store and fill it up half with bottled water and half with 70% concentration rubbing alcohol. Add a tablespoon or so of liquid spray-on conditioner that you would use on your hair and a touch of baby shampoo. Stir is up gently and spray on your brushes in place of this cleanser. I've been using this replacement for months and my brushes have never looked better AND it's easier on your wallet and easier on the environment.

Best Brush Cleanser

Ok but expensive

I purchased this because the mac artist talked me into buying a brush and this along with it. In hindsight, although I think this is a good product, there are others out there for cheaper.Considering I am not a makeup artist, when I run out of this, I will probably go for a cheaper cleaner.

LOVE this stuff!

This is definitely a MUST HAVE if you want to make your brushes last forever and kill off the bacteria which causes breakouts! Best and easiest brush cleanser I've ever used....I found a spray-pump that fit the bottle which makes it a WHOLE lot easier. After I finish my makeup, I spray each brush 2x and run it back and forth on a clean towel. Its also great for changing colors while doing makeup because it dries so fast. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...I will never be without this product!
