Multi purpose, but messy.
I have a MAC pigment in “Milk,” which is a shimmery very pale lilac with a hint of pink. The texture seems to be a little bit less smooth (maybe even a touch gritty) compared to other pigments. It is VERY VERY shimmery. Applied dry, it looks like it does in the jar. Applied wet, it becomes really intense—the finish looks a bit metallic. These are a little messy to use, as there is usually a bit of fallout (that seems to be the nature of most loose powders though). One of the major selling points of this product is its versatility. You can add it to nail polish (clear or colored polish), or lip gloss, to create new shades (I personally haven't tried these options myself, I've only used it as a loose shadow). Some colors can be used as blush or bronzer or as a contour shade. You can apply it dry or wet, which enhances the color (apply wet with a brush using water, MAC Fix+ or a mixing medium—MAC Pro makes one but you can find recipes to make homemade mixing medium online). The product is very pigmented. The packaging is a plastic container with a screw top lid and a plastic cover inside. Every time I open it I tend to get pigment on my fingers... putting it into a sifter container might help. OR, find a tutorial on how to press pigments so that they're like pressed shadows (it's a little messy, and you'll have to get the materials, but it's not too difficult). There is way more product than I will ever use. If you're going to buy this, you should probably get a shade you'll wear almost daily—one jar of pigment is three times the amount of one shadow (I have yet to totally use up a shadow, but that's because I wear different colors almost every day). If it's something that you'll actually use, then it's a great value since one jar of pigment costs roughly the same as one single pressed eyeshadow. If I found a HG color, I'd probably buy it and press it into pans. Until then, I'm a little underwhelmed by these. — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

extremely pigmented
MAC pigments are the most amazingly vibrant eyeshadows. They are extremely versatile and there are many ways to use them. You can mix them with a lotion to make a tanner or with a clear polish to make a new nail polish color! These shadows can be a little messy to work with but they produce the most vibrant colors! Unfortunately, MAC has decreased the size of their pigments, but kept the price. But they are great eyeshadows! — 2 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 5 people said helpful

gorgeous color
This product is sooo beautiful, but a little pricey. I use it with a little bit of oil to give my hair some razzle dazzle! — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Pigment
This is a little pricey but it is so versatile it is wroth it! I have these in a number of colors and they can be used for anything. Sometimes I dust them on my cheeks as blush. You can also mix them up with clear lip gloss for a fab pop of color. They are extremely easy to blend on the eyes and you can mix the colors to get the perfect match for your outfits. I also like how buildable the colors are. If you just want a nice sheer wash of color or a vibrant pop these little bottles are perfect. It might not look like a product but a little goes a long way and the packaging looks super cute on my vanity. — 2 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Messy, but worth it
A couple of christmases ago, I received five MAC pigments. Even just looking at the packaging I was honestly intimidated. It looks messy and like its going to get everywhere, fallout, and blah blah. Well of course the first couple of times I used it, of course i had fall out all the way down to my lips but my gosh, my eyes looked heavenly. The pigmentation and blendablity deliver amazing results. These are such a fine powder that it blends so beautifully. Depending how much product you use, you can go from natural dewiness, to glowing, to perfectly made up, and eventually you can take this right down to drag. thats how amazing these products are. Its very multi purpose, you can use it on lips, eyes, highlight, all over (with a big powder brush) It's pricey and hard to manage at first (thats why i deducted 2 stars) but you'll master it and look like a dewy glowing goddess or a drag queen, which ever suits you best! — 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Multitasker
MAC pigments are versatile and can be used as eyeshadow, lip gloss and mixed with nail polish. One jar can last a really long time so pick a shade that you're sure that you will use frequently. — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

MAC Pigment
I have quite a collection of these little wonders, and I am sure I will be collecting a few more in the future. I love the versatility of them. I have used them on my face, my eyes, even my lips with a sheer gloss over it. I have had excellent results using them wet or dry, and it doesn't matter how I use them, the pigment concentration is so high, I don't have to touch them up and even after hours of wear, they still stay fresh and vibrant. Ypu don't have to use a lot of product either for what ever use you may find for them. i love the clear jar, it is so easy to see the color you want to use. The textures are a little different color to color, but not in a bad way. The only drawback to using thses is you have to be careful because they can have a little fallout, but that is really insignificant to me. They come in so many colors that I have a hard time picking out a favorite, they have so many beautiful selections to choos from. Anyone could find a colr or finish to suit them, they have so many to choose from. My problen is that they are so pretty I have a hard time deciding between the one's I want at the MAC counter. I wish I were wealthy enough to get one of each, it would be so much easier. As far as expense goes, because these are so highly pigmented that you don't have to use a lot of product. Based on my comparison to the L'Oreal HIP Loose Pigment Powders, MAC is less expensive gram for gram. I feel I more than got my moneys worth. — 3 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Color - "Coc" - discontinued
Coco looks silvery light brown in the package but on me it's more of a silvery tan. Very, very pretty neutral color. Great for daytime looks. As with all MAC pigments; great quality and great staying power. it is discontinued now. So that really blows, but this color is a staple for me. Makes my otherwise boring blue eyes pop. — 3 years, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Versatile
So if you are looking for a product that can do just about anything, well more like act like all of your beauty product needs, and if you also happen to have a bit of money you would like to spend this is definitely a highly recommended product! First of all this product is beautiful. I feel as if all Mac pigments have amazing quality and come in a huge range of colors and shades so it makes them so tempting to the make up horders like myself. But, these small gems do come with a high price. I think at my local MAC store it costs me about $20 for a small pigment bottle, but do keep in mind that the tiny bottle does come with a ton of product. My current obsession is the Melon color since it can be used on the lips as well, I believe some of the pigments you are able to mix with sheer lipgloss to create awesome colors. But anyhow, these products are amazing, they can be applied either wet or dry to the eyelids, work as glosses, and I believe the pink tones can be doubled up as blushes, and there is a light one you can even use as a highlight!! I love how they are so useful, but there is one downfall, the huge huge huge mess they leave behind. I don't like how the mouth of the bottle is relatively larger compared to the bottle. the pigment usually spills out and i make a mess. I do not like dipping my brush into the pigment because I feel like it is unsanitary, so that is my only dislike about this product. Also I wish the pigments cost a little less, but then again I feel like it is an okay deal, since I can use a pigment for a fairly long amount of time. Over all a good product that does what it says it does, It is extremely useful and can act like all your beauty needs at once. — 3 months, 4 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
