C.O. Bigelow Lemon Body Cream

Average member rating of 8.2

Resist the temptation to scoop the frosting-textured, deliciously lemon-scented C.O. Bigelow Lemon Body Cream out of the tub and lick it. It's not edible. However its luxurious, "fragrance-free" formula, infused with shea butter, kukui nut oil and lemon extracts, smoothes and softens skin. I slather it on nightly and wake up with hydrated skin that remains scale-free all day. One HUGE warning: People have reportedly developed rashes after multiple uses, probably due to a sensitivity to lemon extracts -- so proceed with caution. Buy the travel size and do a patch test before using it all over.

    WARNING: MAY INDUCE HIDEOUS RASH!!!

July 7, 2008, 10:51 am I bought this stuff for the yummy lemony smell and creamy texture. It felt a little greasy when I put it on but I didn't mind. Then, horror of horrors!!! I went tanning the next day unaware that lemon oil (used in this product) can cause photosensitivity. YIKES!! I got the ugliest rash that looked and felt like permanent goose bumps. After searching the net to see if anyone else had experienced this, I found several people that had, and not just from tanning beds (like me) but by only being out in the sun for a short time. SO BEWARE!!! Spot test it (on an inconspicuous area) and go out in the sun to see if you react. Trust me, you do not want this rash. Thankfully, mine did not itch (as others said there's did) but it took FOREVER to fade away. Looking like you have plucked-chicken's skin is not good for one's self esteem. July 7, 2008, 10:51 am

I'm constantly on the quest for that perfect one - I want serious moisturization that absorbs quicky but leaves skin glowing, all while smelling wonderful. Well, this cream is it! I am in awe of how great this works, smells and absorbs to leave me smooth all day long. The scent fades after a few minutes, so you get a burst of freshness on application that never clashes with a perfume. It's absolutely perfect. October 23, 2008, 5:05 pm

    Really indulgent!

I will never stop using this product. It goes on like it just melts into your skin. It goes on like it just melts into your skin. The frangrance is addicting, and I tend to always put a second layer on just because it feels so good to slather it. It also has skin brightening effects, so it helps lighted up those nasty brown aging spots on the back of my hands. I purchased the giant tub of it when they had a promotion for it on the Bath and Body website, so I keep refilling my small container with that so I am never without it in my purse. Highly recommend this lotion. October 2, 2008, 8:46 am

Yummy fragrance-like lemon meringue pie, and a great moisturizer. Use it all the time and have never had a rash. Just soft and fragrant skin. August 23, 2008, 11:48 pm

Where oh where is my lemon body cream gone?

August 9, 2008, 7:16 am During a recent visit to NY I bought a small jar of this delectable lemony creamy stuff and - the shame of it! - I wish I'd bought the super-large jar since I used it in no time. I didn't realise how amazing it was, my legs and arms loved it, and so did anyone who came close enough to get a whiff of the scent after luscious application. BUT now I'm finding it IMPOSSIBLE to buy online and Bigelow NEVER answer their phone or emails so I can attempt to persuade them to send it to me in the UK. Disaster! Just thank your lucky stars those of you live in NY or at least in the US or Canada - you can still get a hold of it somehow. There is nothing else like it and I'm gutted. August 9, 2008, 7:16 am

    Lovely smell, mediocre moisturizing

    by talk2uranalyst (124 reviews)
I'm a total freak for lemon scented things so I was psyched to try this out. The scent is faint and not overpowering and very fresh smelling i feel like it could be more moisturizing, though. August 3, 2008, 8:19 pm
