Good for Night Use
I received a good sized sample of this face balm and have been using it at night as a "layer" over my regular face lotion. It is much too heavy for daytime use on my normal/oily skin. Dry and very dry skin will benefit from this balm. Because it's meant for drier skins I probably won't be purchasing it once the sample is finished. The consistency is very thick and emollient. Good (but not great)
There's no denying that this is a very good facial moisturizer, but its exorbitant price tag made me knock a few stars off its rating. For eighty dollars I expect great things, and this moisturizer didn't quite deliver. It didn't have SPF, and I found the smell to be a bit too strong and long-lasting. Also, its effects don't last. It goes on nice and light and your skin looks and feels significant...read morely more hydrated, but after an hour my super dry skin started peeling again. I received several free samples of this product at the Bobbi Brown counter, and I will not be purchasing the full size when they run out. If you have an extra 80 clams lying around, I recommend it. Really wanted to Love it
I'm so disappointed. I paid a fortune for this product and like a dummy threw away the box so I can't even return it. I read so many reviews on the bobbi brown website and on other sites and based on those reviews, I really expected my face to look better! But what I didn't know is that it's a pain in the behind to use a balm as a moisturizer. I will never do it again. The stuff is so thick you have to press it into your skin otherwise you're pulling and tugging at your face. Worse than that, it is so greasy! I've been laying in bed for about an hour on my computer and my face is still so shiny and oily. I can only use this as a night time balm because it does not get absorbed into my skin. I'm convinced that the majority of it gets rubbed off on my pillow case while I sleep. I've been using this product pretty consistently for about a month and these two wrinkles on my forehead have not changed at all. If you're going to pay almost $100 for a product, it has to be justified. In my case and in my disappointment, this product was not the investment in my skin that I had hoped it would be. Also a bit weird but it makes my face tingle and itch.
