Although I adore Bobbi Brown products, I have not bought any recently...UNTIL I was shopping in Naples and was lured to the BB counter by a beautiful but natural-looking salesperson. Her makeup looked flawless, as well as her lips. Inquiring as to what product she had on her lips, she replied, "Bobbi's Lip Sheer in Pink Berry." I tried it on and pulled out my money quicker than a gunslinger pulling out his gun. It is a definite cross between a matte lipstick and a gloss -- not too flat, not too shiny...just right. As I get a bit older (early 40s), more and more I prefer wearing sheer-coverage lipsticks that look beautiful and natural, and that's what I get with this product. How does a brown or dark plum or pale lavender shade look natural against my fair complexion/over my light pink lips? I don't know, but I have had great luck with Bobbi Brown colors in all makeup categories, and I'm particularly happy to find several lip products from her line that look great on me when I'm at an age (I guess!) where some of my long-time favorite colors and formulations just don't flatter anymore. Even if you still look young & healthy — which I do — your overall skin tone, lip texture, tooth shade (even when totally healthy & as white as can be), and whites of your eyes have started to change in subtle ways, and you will have to adjust! That adjustment is what led me to trying Bobbi Brown products (I'd just never looked into them), and I've been amazed at how many of her colors and formulations work BEAUTIFULLY on me.
