Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow

I really liked the line of Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Wash line of eye shadows, I decided to try a few of the other finishes in her line of eye shadows. I perfer a neutral look for every day, a natural look. I picked up Naked, Bare, and Navajo. I really liked the texture of the Shimmer Wash line, and I liked the texture of these as much as well. They are very silky in texture, they are buildable, and seamlessly blendable. The pigment saturation is excellent. You don't have to use a lot of product to get great color payoff. The shadow clings nicely to an application brush, so I have had no problem with fallout during application. They wear very well for me with or without primer, and that is a plus for me as I am extremely oily. I find they don't crease, slide, or fade even after hours of wear. The little palette the eye shadow singles come in are very basic, yet elegant, not over stated. I find that they are worth the price because they perform very well for me far better than many other high end eye shadows that were more expensive, yet didn't perform as well for me as Bobbi Brown's do. I will be adding a few more colors to my collection because they work so well for me, and I have not noticed a color I haven't liked in this line. There are many colors, so anyone could find a color or two that would suit anyone's taste or skin tone. They are a really great line. — 2 years, 6 months ago

Although the eye shadow is the same, the round compact has been replaced by a square compact. I own the three-pan palette in bone, expresso, and navy (to use as an eyeliner). Unrecognizable, I still own the three-pan palette, and when the last traces of eyeshadow are gone, I will replace it with the square-pan palette. I am a fair-skinned blonde and the transparency of the bone and expresso colors suits my complexion perfectly. — 3 years, 11 months ago

I have several different shades of Bobbi's shadows and have never been disappointed with the quality of the makeup. My favorite colors are Bone (as an all-over base), Sable, and Espresso. They are well-pigmented and go on well; the darker colors can also be applied as eyeliners. I find that the texture of the shadows is quite dry and, as a result, does not blend as easily as other shadows that I've used. — 1 year, 4 months ago

Sophisticated and Versatile Eye Shadows

I have Bobbi Brown's Eye Shadow in Bone, Sable and Rich Brown (three colors that I originally bought in a "neutral" palette and have since repurchased) and I love them. The texture of the eye shadow is really smooth and blends extremely well. I like to have a natural, "no makeup" look during the day and then a smoky eye at night, and these are great for both. I use Bone to highlight my brow bone, Sable for a light, polished look during the day (and sometimes as a brow powder), and Rich Brown to line my top lash line during the day or for a smokier look at night. It's very easy to control the amount of color you get out of these shadow, so you can do a very natural look or something more dramatic. And they last forever! — 2 years, 6 months ago

Great texture - 'Bone' perfect for use as base

Bobbi Brown eyeshadows go on with great, smooth, matte texture. I've tried many brands and always had trouble with shadows creasing or becoming shiny/greasy the later it gets in the day. After being introduced to 'Bone' at the Bobbi Brown counter for use as a base, I can use pretty much any brand eyeshadow on top, and it goes on smooth, even and matte all day! man o man, how I love Bobbi Brown Cosmetics..but NOT these eye shadows. I LOVE the shades, the texture, the ease of application....but good gravy, the color runs its way to the crease so fast, it's almost as if you've lined it yourself. Perhaps you'd get better results if you used a primer - but really, I'm not going to buy another product to put on my already sensitive eyes & lids -- plus, isn't bobbi more about ease and natural look? primer just is not going to happen for me, so I just won't be buying any more of these. — 3 years, 3 months ago
