    Pretty good

I read a ton of reviews before committing to this product, which I bought in black. I was really excited, since most reviews said it was amazing. But honestly, for the price ($23 regularly), I feel like it could have been better. Don't get me wrong, the mascara was good but didn't give me the amazing transformation I expected. There were a few main things that I found wrong with this product. moret, I have thin lashes, and although it did pump them up a little, this mascara wasn't any better than a L'oreal or Maybelline mascara in the volumizing area. Save your money. Secondly, there is very little product, so this will run out pretty quickly. Also, many people might find it difficult to use this product because it tends to be clumpy, and much of the product that you DO get in this little package gets stuck to the end of the applicator. All in all, not that impressive.

    Winter Blahs

Well let's get right to the heart of things; it's been winter for what seems like ever, and now the crocuses are poking through and we all want to share in their pastel, youthful exuberance. Let me preface this first 'pick' by stating that though this product has turned out to save me oodles of money, an added bonus to improving my skin, one should never look to me for providing economic relief. more have spent loads buying creams and potions from aestheticians, and tend to err on the side of believing that the more expensive a product is, the more likely it is to have miraculous ingredients that will satiate my every desire. Nevertheless, Neutrogena's Healthy Clear Skin Cream with retinol has turned out to be designed for my thirty-something, combination, prone to breakout while threatening to wrinkle, skin. I use it at night, and the improvement to my complexion is noticeable — fewer zits and less dryness — a miracle in a tube. To stave off that dry, pasty February look, I tried a wonderful concoction called Green Papaya Smoothing and Exfoliation Treatment by Pacifica skincare. It glides on easily and then tingles for about ten minutes. After I washed it off I was as rosy as if I'd just had a brisk run (not very likely). My skin felt like a clean slate, ready for a new season, a new shadow, a new lipstick... Perhaps my newfound glow is responsible for another recent discovery — one that has improved my daily outlook considerably. Vincent Longo mascara. I don't know about you, but I have been on a continuous quest since junior High (yes, before they called it Middle School) searching drug stores and cosmetic counters for the perfect mascara — one that doesn't smear or run or clump and actually washes off with soap and water rather than requiring some, (no doubt), designer, smelly, mystery lotion to remove it. I purchased the basic mascara, in brown. Have I mentioned my sensitivity to color? This is not just any brown, but the best brown — not too red, not too gray, a deep chocolate brown. It goes on perfectly, not too much product on the wand, in one coat. It stays on in rain, at the movies, and during a watery-eyed cold. And then, when you are ready, it washes off without a trace. I love this mascara. That’s it for now. My next 'picks' will be in the area of home furnishings. Let's face it. we can’t spend all of our time looking in the mirror — unless it’s a really nice one...
