Klein-Becker StriVectin-SD

This expensive cream is best known for smoothing fine lines, but we gave it a shot for what it was originally made for: stretch marks. After applying three times a day for six weeks, it did fade some of those bright squiggly lines. However, it didn't exactly provide the "significant reduction in the appearance" it promised. Plus the three-times-a-day application is annoying -- unless your idea of fun is sneaking off to the office bathroom at lunchtime with a tube of stretch-mark cream.

December 6, 2007, 4:41 pm i started using this RIGHT after i had my baby. my stretch marks were horrible; i looked like i had been attacked by a tiger. they were at least a centimeter in width and at least 5-6 inches in length and very deep. they were also dark purple. after using strivectin, they are almost perfectly even with my skin (no more dents) and have shrunk in width and length. the color is almost the same as the rest of my skin, but you can definitely still see them. they have that silvery-look. it didnt make my stretch marks disappear, but it definitely helped. i dont regret buying it. April 25, 2008, 1:59 pm i've used this product religiously on my stomach after my second son was born, going on 4 years now. my stretch marks were horrific, my ob said they were the worst she'd ever seen, and they looked more like i'd been in a fire than that i'd had a baby. after he was born my skin sagged terribly, and my stretch marks were still bright red. since using this cream, for YEARS now as i've said, the marks are all white, and my skin is less saggy, though it never looked like i did before i had kids. im not sure the improvement wasnt just from time, and any lotion wouldn't have done the same. all in all, this cream is very expensive, thick, doesn't smell nice at all, takes too long to dry and you have to use it too many times a day. i think you'd be better off using cocoa butter or olive oil, at least they are better smelling, cheaper and have historicaly been used for the same purpose. I totally wasted my money on this product. It did nothing to reduce the appearance of my stretch marks. It did nothing to improve my complexion. December 6, 2007, 3:14 pm I totally wasted my money on this product. It did nothing to reduce the appearance of my stretch marks. It did nothing to improve my complexion. In fact, when I used it on my face, it only made it feel warm and greasy, plus it made my face even redder. It had a strong odor to it, and I could always tell when I was near another woman who'd tried the product because I could smell it on her. The texture got watery and weird long before the expiration date, so I just threw it away. What a disappointment. December 6, 2007, 3:14 pm

    False advertisement

This product is ridiculously expensive and it doesn't work. The only positive thing about it is that it leaves my skin soft and creamy. After a week of using this product, I started to break out on my buttock and thighs (where I apply the product). Highly not recommended. September 2, 2008, 10:25 pm

But after shelling out all the $$$$ after a year I gave up and switched to the another product that is only like $ in comparison and very effective. But I imagine I might try it again for some firming up. June 3, 2008, 11:45 am

May 20, 2008, 9:05 am I was given a sample of this "miracle cream" in an upscale mall in Las Vegas. At first, my skin starting feeling tight as if super glue had been smeared on my face. I just assumed it was working its magic. About an hour later, my husband told me my face was turning red. I went to the bathroom and washed my face. By the time we returned to the hotel, my face was welted and starting to break out. I have sensitive skin but this was the worst-and fastest reaction I have ever had. May 20, 2008, 9:05 am

When I first heard about Stri-Vectin-SD I couldn't wait to purchase it. Even though I felt it was really expensive, like most women I felt that if this product worked, I would gladly pay double the price. After using the entire tude I did notice a slight improvement in the texture of my skin, but I expected more from the product. StriVectin-SD is not a product I would purchase again.
