gross
It smells like something my grandmother would wear... oh wait my grandmother does wear this! And my mother started to when she turned 50. That's saying something. Antique. — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 5 people said helpful

I actually kind of like this...
This lasts forever, and smells sweet, but it's not my type of fragrance because it is for an older audience. Not recommended for a date, it is too strong. — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Yuck
This fragrance is too musky, too sweet, and too powdery for my liking. Even when I put very little on, it just did not work with my chemistry. It make me nauseous, and the smell didn't go away all day (I guess that's good if you like it). I prefer something more refreshing and crisp. This is the opposite of that. — 4 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

give this one a chance!
this perfume has a very strong, powdery and flowery smell, but i really like it. when you first put it on, it will smell very strong, and as many people have said, a bit grandmaish. but in just a few minutes the heaviness then wears off and it starts to smell so beautiful, its hard to describe and then it doesnt smell like a grandmother at all and is perfect for young people like me. it is such a gentle smell. the only words that come to mind is "like a dream". heavenly. it is a very romantic and powdery and sweet scent, and i love it. it is also very uniue..i have never smelled a perfume similar to this. but since all the people are saying that this one smells too old, they came out with another version of this perfume for younger people..its called "far away dreams" basically its less powdery and floral and more fresh. ive smelled it and it might be even better than this one . anyways, i would recommend this perfume, but not to buy it until you have at least smelled a sample of it because it is a very fragrance and youll probably either love it or hate it. i , i made my brothers smell it and all of my friends too and they all just keep smelling it so i guess a lot of other people think it smells good. ive wanted this perfume for a long time, but now that i have it i have to admit i barely ever even wear it, probably because when i open the bottle it smells so strong...but then i put it on and in a matter of minutes the strong perfumey scent fades away as i said and then im reminded of why i bought it in the first place. also, not to mention that it lingers beautifully all day..not overpowering but not so faint that no one can smell it so i would say that it is a very goood buy for the price, considering i got mine for around $6 — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Strong
I usually don't like sweet, strong perfumes but I loved this one! It's kinda spicy sweet and it lasts a very long time. I would buy it again. — 8 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Spicy, sweet, not for those who hate Shalimar & similar fragrances
This is a sweet, spicy, complex, heavy scent, and you'll either love it or hate it because there's nothing green or fruity about it. In fragrance-speak, it's what used to be called a "spicy Oriental" (Shalimar was the best known of these). This doesn't smell like Shalimar, but rather like a distant members of the same family. Far Away is definitely its own thing, being sweeter, with notes of vanilla bean, cocoa, spicy black pepper, and musky notes mixed in with some sweet florals I can't identify. (This is what I mean by complex; there's a lot going on in there!) I like this in very small does (it's strong and lasts a long time) and usually I wear it when I'm dressing 20's or '30's vintage but don't want to break out the Shalimar...It has that same kind of exotic aura. (If you're into old movies, it smells like something Myrna Loy would have worn when she played what the studio called "exotic" types.) Not for everyone and definitely not for every occasion, because it can be a bit heady--it's definitely not a summer fragrance!--and definitely to be applied with a light hand. I certainly give Avon kudos, though, because although it is sweet, the complexity makes it smell much more expensive than it is and not at all like "cheap perfume". It smells like something an old-school perfumier would have done with ingredients that are no longer available, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. If you like exotic, spicy scents or have an occasion to play a vintage vamp, this may be for you. — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

love this smell
This is one bottle of perfume I have on my counter that I am never out of. I just love this scent. It is very reasonably price and on sale often for 10 dollars. It also has shower gel, powder, lotion for layering. I get migraine alot with alot of loud odor but this one has never bothered me. I recommend it. — 4 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
