    Just a word of warning...

...to anyone who is impressed that these patches have removed anything at all from their feet: They remove nothing. Not even dirt. Patches like this contain a type of dried vinegar that turns brown when it comes in contact with moisture (and your feet sweat while you sleep). I used to sell Avon, and I was so mad when I saw ...that they'd made these things available! They're a total scam, not to mention totally disgusting. And no, I did not try them - I'm writing based on what I've read in magazines about this type of product. I want to spread the word! January 28, 2009, 7:38 am

    This is GARBAGE!

    by janet177 (14 reviews)
My friend works in a lab and was skeptical about these "detox patches". She purchased them at the store, and when we were going to try them on our feet, I accidentally spilled water on part of it...then INSTANT BLACK! She took them to the lab, and after doing tests on them, found NO toxins or metals or anything.... All that it did was absorb the sweat from your feet. Any contact with moisture will turn it brown/black, making it look like it pulled all this goop from your feet. If you look up these detox foot pads, you'll see all this research that proves that they don't work! April 6, 2009, 2:11 pm

    by gigi23 (11 reviews)
I can't believe ppl actually wasted their money...ok, so I was curious and tried it but none of the "toxins" drained from my feet! Not worth the money stick to hot water & lemon for detox! December 22, 2008, 7:09 pm

    Say WHAT?!

I can't believe that such a reputable brand is selling this. Whoever thought of putting this product out on the market in the company is completely tarnishing the face of Avon. These Detox pads is one of the biggest scams in history...this product only removes dirt and dead skin off your feet, NOTHING ELSE. I always looked ...up to Avon for such quality products, but now my respect is rapidly declining. November 27, 2008, 6:31 pm

    Save Your money - Garbage

These are a hoax - they turn colors from moisture, not from "toxins". I am shocked that Avon resorted to selling this stuff. Take one, put a bit of water on it and the next morning it will be black. As Barnum said, " a fool and his money are soon parted." November 7, 2008, 1:46 pm

    Nothing but a Hoax

I bought this from a friend as a favor because she works for Avon and honestly it doesn't do a thing. Those black specs are not toxins, they are dirt plain and simple...lol! If you have healthy kidneys and liver, they are sufficient enough to filter all the toxins in your body. Like I said, I just bought these as a favor... to a friend. Definitely won't be purchasing these again. November 6, 2008, 11:45 am

    All a clever ploy...

    by PrdctJunkie (23 reviews)
These don't do a thing. I too bought them from Avon AND an infomercial. They claim to draw toxins out of your body, but the only "chemical reaction" happening it the moisture from your feet absorbing into the pad and allowing it to change color. If you rub salt water over a pad, it does the same thing as what yo...u see when you wake up, soooo it's essentially collecting your foot sweat (why the recommend you wear socks over it... to sweat). Save your money and just eat better and exercise. October 28, 2008, 3:32 pm

I used to laugh at the late night infomercials that had similar products. I was making fun of these commercials with my husband and mother, when my mom (who sells Avon) told me that she had sold some of these. After I explained that these were nothing but a hoax she immediately called her supervisor and demanded to know w...hy these are being sold. I am shocked. April 28, 2009, 12:22 pm

do not know if it works

    by ryhall007 (1 review)
There is no clear discription of what the patches do. The is not a clear way to tell if they worked at all. The patches seem to get moist by the morning time, however you do not know if it was detoxing or if your feet were sweating. June 5, 2008, 6:30 am
