I like using this in the winter when my skin is super dry. The consistency is like butter, very thick and yellow, It is fragrance free, but yes, the ingredients give off an odor that gets stronger the longer you have the product, sort of like "buttercream" scented candles. This is the natural butters in it oxidizing. I give it a star off because of the fact you can see and smell the product degrade over time, it needs to be in a tube. Happily Surprised
I am 26 with very fair, sensitive skin. I don't have wrinkles per say, but I certainly have expression lines forming that I want to start treating now while I'm still young and before they get to be too bad. Most skin creams make my skin go insane and break out (except for anything made by Cetaphil). I was hesitant to try this, but this is the only anti-wrinkle cream made for sensitive skin so I thought I'd try it out. I only use a little around my eyes and forehead at night and in the mornings but I have to tell you, the nights when I do use it, I wake up expression line free (or at least drastically reduced) versus mornings waking up without having put it on the night before. for those who think Shedd's Spread is luxurious . . .
Wow. I have no clue what the prior reviewers are talking about. This stuff is way too heavy for my sensitive skin. I don't know how valid the anti-wrinkle claim is, since after three applications I just couldn't get past the scent ("fragrance-free"???): this gunk looks and smells exactly like melted margarine. Reverse deep wrinkles
I couldn't believe it-- all my life people had commented on how young I looked. But all of a sudden, at age 35, that stopped altogether; it only took a quick look in the mirror to discover the reason why. My face had begun to resemble a well-worn road map. After only three short days, my crows feet were so minimized that I could no longer see them in the mirror. Not only that, but the skin on my chest and neck looked healthy, dewy, and free of wrinkles; my jawline even unpuckered entirely. Perhaps most strikingly, the deeply-set wrinkles across my forehead were almost completely invisible! I went from being so self-conscious that I was unable to leave home without bangs strategically covering the wrinkles to sweeping my bangs off my face with a stylish headband to best show off my new-again fresh face!!! Umm, umm good!
This cream has a certain yumminess to me, due perhaps to its thick, buttery texture combined with its also-buttery color and fresh no-fragrance smell (if that last makes sense). I slather it on before I put on makeup to go out at night, and it keeps me dewy and wrinkle free even after cocktails and hours of sociable, crow's-feet-inducing laughter. When my skin needs a break from Retin-A, I use it as a night cream and wake up glowing. I'm not sure that there's enough COQ10 to lead to these results, but something in there works for me. I love the little jar aesthtetically, too: there's soemthing very cute, antique and European about it--but I also think it can get a bit grody over time, so I'm subtracting a star. Otherwise, I'm on my third jar in a year. Sensitive skin loves this stuff
I have very sensitive skin which has gotten worse over the years. Now I have to avoid strong and oily and this one is perfect. It feels rich, leaves my skin soft, and has helped keep my wrinkles down to a minimum.
