Great Results
amygab1126 (228 reviews)Yes, this takes a long time to do. You have to be really careful in pulling strands of hair through the highlighting cap. And unless you're naturally blond, you have to leave the bleach on for an hour. That said, the results you get from this highlighting kit are excellent. Professional-looking, even! You need patience (and an ability to visualize the back of your head), but the results are worth more than the money you'll save at the salon. I recommend this. — 3 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful

Used for years!
MomNC2008 (11 reviews)I have used this kit for years now, since I was about 13-14 and I am now 41. Over this time I have learned a lot about the product and how to perfect the results. For the first timer it works quite easily by following directions. What it doesn't tell you is that if you have a lot of red highlights in your hair it's going to bring them out a lot and turn them golden/coppery and be more red. You need to leave it on a bit longer if your hair is more brown too. What I can recommend is finding L'Oreal's companion product a drabber for your hair shade (they make it for light or dark shades) and adding the appropriate amount to it. This will turn the product purple and take away the bronzing/coppery/redness to it. You can also give yourself a "drabber bath" after you've frosted almost immediately if it came out like that or down the line if your hair begins to show those signs but then you have to also purchase 20% by volume peroxide to mix with it and the results aren't always so great. You also need to watch what shampoos you use as they too tend to bring on the braziness even if they are not a highlight enhancing shampoo, particularly volumizing shampoos do this. — 3 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful
