All hype
I don't know which part of the 3step system broke me out but I had perfect skin before starting it. It took me over 2 months to get my skin back to normal. I had full on acne all over my face. I was horrified that such products were top rated and yet did so much damage. While this product did clean, I felt it was too harsh. Once I used it I was left with really dry, tight skin. Great facial wash!

Hmmm.
It cleans and foams up very well, and I save heaps of money because you need very little of it to get started. However, I'm always shiny and I've been searching for the Holy Grail that will keep my face from shining up. I find it too strong if I use it with the Clarifying Toner (I used 2 and 3). Okay
For me, this wasn't spectacular. I find that it left a residue on my face after i washed it, not good for controlling blemishes. For a basic cleanser, there are better ones for less money. Best Department Store Face Wash!!!! and good price at that too!
This is my cleanser in my skin regimen, and I have not been disappointed at all! I used to use another cleanser (forgot the name) and it didn't compliment well to my combination oily skin, however this cleanser is tailored to your special skin type, and it is a really nice one at that! Doesn't leave my face tight and dry!
Great basic cleanser. It gently removes dead skin cells, dirt, and oil, while maintaining skin's natural PH balance. Definitely need a makeup remover before hand if wearing heavy makeup, but this stuff will remove the makeup remover residue and any last trace of makeup off your face. Lasts a long time, and at $15, you can't beat it! "feeling" the clean
I had used products such as Proactive and resulting in dry skin, then when using the lotion it felt liee it clogged my pores. when i use the clinique liquid face wash i rinse my face and i can only decribe it as my pores can breathe. Clinique is wonderful
I love Clinique skincare products, but I really prefer the bar soap instead of the liquid. I just feel like I'm getting a better facial cleansing when I use the bar soap and a washcloth. I bought the three step skin cleansing system (mild liquid soap, clarifying lotion, and moisturizing lotion), along with the foaming makeup remover and began to use it on my face. At first, I loved the results. The minor acne I had struggled with on my cheeks for months disappeared and using the system as directed make my skin glowing and soft. I thought I was in love. I had never seen anything like this and I hoped they would go away. After a week of developing more, they daily began to developed into painful zits and whiteheads. Shortly afterwards, I noticed the white bumps were spreading to my forehead, and I quit using the system, worried it would spread all over my face. This is a good product if it works for you skin, but beware! Don't spend a lot of money on a well known brand and think it'll work for you like it everyone else. Much too harsh for most skin (Formula for Oily Skin)
The bottle says oily skin, so take note! If your whole face is not an oil slick, this cleanser will be way too harsh! I have a very oily t zone and normal cheeks, and this cleanser gave me dry patches all over my face. It may be because I have sensitive skin but this was more irritating than anything I've ever used.
