This is my lifelong favorite blush. I started using it in high school and over the years have tried other brands and varieties, but always end up coming back to this one. It lasts for a very long time and the color blends well. Only Blush I Use
Since Neutrogena no longer makes their Soft Color blushes, this is the only drugstore blush I will buy! I love Rose Silk, because it's a beautiful warm pink, with just enough shimmer to make cheeks glow, but not look glittery or "shiny". Cool pinks don't work on my warm pale skintone, and darker pinks tend to turn muddy on me for some reason, but this shade is so pretty and natural looking! This blush applies smoothly, and lasts well, and doesn't break me out. I have been a CG blush fan for many years, and considering I own blushes from Mac, Lancome, Clinique, Stila, and Estee Lauder, that's saying a lot!!!! If you're darker than medium, this shade may be too light for you, but you golden goddesses might just love "Iced Plum", which is the shade I use when I'm tan. CG has some unexpectedly good products, and this blush is one of them! Let me say first that I don't like the CG brand, and I try not to buy their products. For a number of reasons--including the fact that they still test on animals--CG is one of the last brands I'm likely to buy when I go into a store. But I have a big weakness for blush, and there was a coupon at my store for $1.50 off a CG product, so here I am... And this is a great blush: sheer, luminous, and just plain pretty. It's also low maintenance, meaning hard to overdo. I've got a lot of blushes, and with some of them you have to really watch your application or you'll end up too bright or stripey or whatever. But Rose Silk is easy. The color also looks really natural, and pretty much goes with whatever face you're putting on. If you're a minimalist, this could be the only blush (or one of the few) you'll ever need. I also like the compact, even if it's clunky-looking; it's hard to find a d/s blush with a mirrored compact these days. This is a beautiful and inexpensive blush. It is easy to build upon and if used over other blushes produces a nice glowy effect. The only thing I don't like about CG blushes is that they seem to get a strange build up on the ends with dirt (from blush brush possibly, but I wash my brushes once a week and only use makeup on a clean face in the am. Overall, if this blush is applied correctly it will have some shimmer but not turn you into a glitter face. This is my daily wear blush. I have dark hair & eyes and this goes really well with my nuetral brown tones for eyes & lips on a daily basis. It gives just the right amount of color without looking overdone and gives a nice flushed appearance to my cheeks. I've tried several othe blushes and always end up right back here. I love the flip top lid, but obviously I do not use the brush that comes with this. This blush is fantastic, really. I couldn't figure out how the compact worked for the life of me when I first opened it, but now I got it and it's great. The color goes on very very smooth and natural. I have the palest skin on the planet I think and it still looks great. It has a touch of shimmer to it that's subtle but gives skin a very lovely glow. I think this is the first blush that I've found that shows up, looks natural, and is extremely affordable. I just got this blush today. My favorite blush is New York Color Mosaic Blush in Pink Cheek Glow, but Walmart never seems to have that shade, so I decided to try this blush. I like the compact it comes in and the color is natural looking, which is good because I don't like looking like a clown. However, I don't like the smell and even though the color is nice, I just wish it were a bit more pigmented. Also, the brush that comes with this is useless. I tried using it and I couldn't get enough of the product onto the brush, so I used my blush brush instead and that worked much better. I will repurchase this blush until I find something better. I must have a different packaging than other reviewers.. mine has no mirror and is a smallish compact. I don't love the packaging it's very cheap looking. Lovely easy to wear blush in a beautiful colour without too much shimmer and lasts a decent amount of time. Not my favorite
The price is good for these blushes, but sometimes you get what you pay for. I find that when I use these, my cheeks begin to break out with blemishes. I'm not sure which ingredient is doing this, but it happens anytime I try this particular blush. Absolutely Awful
I tried this blush about a year ago in the color recommended on the website, Natural Glow. It didn’t show up in the slightest on my face. I can get it to show up on my wrist, but that’s not the point of blush. I frequently wear blush, as in every time I wear makeup, and always use powder blush but this blush it powdery. It also smelled terrible. I can’t describe the way it smells but you open the compact the smell hits you pretty quickly and remains in the air for a little bit after you close it. Not upset over Discontined Status
