A Featured Shower Regular!
My sensitive skin will let me know when a product is not being kind to it and because this actually left my skin soft and smooth, it was a good sign. First of all, this bar is pretty creamy for a solid soap so it applies almost like a body wash because it also lathers richly. When I rinse it off my skin, I feel the difference of cleanliness and moisture when my skin has dried because I see no ashiness. This also cleanses the face better than their cream or liquid cleansers. Now here's the catch, it's about three dollars a bar. It doesn't seem much but when you compare it to the prices of multiple pack shower soaps and find that this product melts and disappears easily with a few rinses of water on the bar, you'll find that you're shelling out more to have it. I still find it a benefit to have because it's gentle and effective so in the end, pulling out a couple more dollars seems worth it to hypersensitive skinned people like myself and my younger sister who has eczema. She and I have complete opposite skin types as I am oily and she's very dry yet this product works for either of us. — 5 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 8 of 8 people said helpful

Not great for acne
I tried this soap when my skin freaked out and decided to become red, dry and itchy in response to all my old favorite products. I'm acne-prone, so I thought the fact that this is antibacterial would help that problem while helping my skin calm down. This soap definitely eased the irritation and softened my skin. Within 2 days, the peeling had stopped, and I thought I'd found my new favorite product. After 2 months, however, I realized that my acne was quite a bit worse. I couldn't ignore the fact that this soap left a slight residue, no matter how long I rinsed. I've since read that bar soaps are really not the best option for acne, and I've found a good sensitive-skin cleanser that my skin can handle. This would be a good product if it weren't for the breakouts, so someone with sensitive, non-acne-prone skin should definitely try it. — 4 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Cetaphil Antibacterial Bar
Tried this on a whim because my sister raves about Cetaphil. It's a great cleanser, has a great lather but does NOT dry out your skin. Gently removes my makeup even waterproof mascara or eyeliner. If I'm too lazy to use makeup remover this will do the trick. As for break-outs, this product really helped keep my breakouts under control. I never feel a drying on my skin or pulling effect after washing with this. I'm up to my third facial bar and I'm really picky about what I clean my face with. You won't be disappointed giving this a try. — 9 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Don't like it
I was 12 when my mom bought me the cleanser, and the bar came free with the cleanser. So I thought it was gentle enough to wash my whole body with it. But no I regret it. This thing I think triggered my back to get acne because of the drying affect. I took showers everyday, so I think this product caused my back to get acne. I'm 16 years old now, still suffering bacne. I'm now using pills for it. I hate cetaphil. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Soft and clear!
After a salycilic cleanser left my skin red, dry, and flaky, I looked up the reviews here and decided to follow their judgement and buy this product. After only a week of use (ONE WEEK!), my face became soft and smooth! It brought out my natural fair complexion so beautifully that I hardly wear any make up but powder to cover up shine. After washing, follow with moisturizer (I highly recommend Neutrogena for Sensitive Skin or Olay Beauty fluid.) — 1 year, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 4 people said helpful

I am happy with the price and effectiveness of this easy to use soap. It travels well--it stays dry and solid on a trip. — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
