Horrible

I don't know what it is about Smashbox, but every product I have ever tried from that line is a disappointment to me. This one was a biggie. As someone with oily skin I am always looking for something to stop "breakthrough shine." Anti-Shine has to be one of, if not the worst, mattifier I have ever used. I experienced oily breakhrough about 30 min. after applying and my skin actually seemed oilier! I am through with Smashbox.

ugh dont waste your money.

This was recommened by the sales lady at sephora. she claimed it was a primer and mattifier all in one. I have no clue what she is talking about becuase my skin felt more greasy after applying this. It did nothing to keep the shine away and did nothing to keep my makeup on. total waste of money. 30 dollars down the drain. The only positive thing about the anti shine is the cute little compact.

Works very well!

I get a shine mainly in the afternoon and this works well to neutralize this problem. The key to controlling oil is to moisturize your skin properly. If your skin is dehydrated, it overproduces oil.

It's ok

I suffer from very oily skin; so oily you can fry chicken on it. And I find that nothing works to control the shine on my face. This product does work the moment your put it on and erases the shine right off of my face. The cream turns into a powder when applied to the face. The only problem is that when the shine comes back (because it always does) my face is even shinier than usual. The oils from my skin and the anti-shine mix together to form a blinding shine on my skin. I'm sure folks can see their reflections in my face. I will just stick to using blotting sheets as they do not make my skin shinier than when I started.
