Almay Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover Pads Reviews

Wheee!
This stings a bit if it gets in your eyes--so be careful. It doesn't make my eye area oily nor does it involve a lot of rubbing to get rid of eyeliner or waterproof mascara. The pads are really handy and you can't beat the price. The added skin conditioners leave my eye area feeling soft and clean and the pads remove eye makeup--not smear it around. 2 stars off because it hurts when it gets in your eyes. — 3 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 5 people said helpful

Perfect in every way
There is simply nothing I would change about these makeup remover pads. This is hands-down the best eye makeup remover I have ever used. The pads are very gentle and don't irritate my eye area or leave me with blurry vision like almost every other product I've tried. They don't leave any greasy residue, but they are still nicely moisturizing (I think this is a rare combination for eye makeup removers). On top of all that, they are also really effective. I didn't have to rub much to get all the makeup off, and the results passed the towel test--no black mascara streaks left on my towel after washing my face. Good
This product is really good, its affordable and quite effective, plus I don't have to buy cotton pads AND eye make up remover. The only thing is that I wish they weren't so small, and maybe a little stronger so that they could remove my mascara as fast as my eyeshadow and eyeliner — 1 year, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Use when away from home
It doesn't have an oily after feel. I pack these in my suitcase or overnight bags for easy transport so I do not use them on a regular bases. They are ok. I prefer the moisturizing liquid for everyday use. I take the makeup off and wash my face afterwards...so these pads are very convenient for that. — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Used this for years
I keep using these makeup remover pads because they are very gentle, don't irritate my eyes, and are oil-free. Sometimes it takes more effort to get the mascara off, but that is my only complaint. Good buy-highly recommended! — 4 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Takes of you makeup really good
i think this is a good makeup remover pad, it really takes off even the heaviest makeup. I didnt like the fact that it left my eyes with a really filmy layer that was kind of hard to get rid of. — 1 year, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

I buy it
Almay Oil-Free Makeup Remover pads are one of my favorite eye makeup remover products. I have sensitive eyes and I wear waterproof mascara, dark eye shadow, and dark eyeliner. I need something with power to get the makeup off…and Almay comes through – somewhat. First of all, users need to write the company and ask them why we often buy this product and the pads are bone dry when you first open the package (which is vacuum sealed), until you get to the bottom quarter inch of pads. I usually have to run water in the container and then shake it up to get moistness on the pads. That’s ridiculous and shouldn’t be. That said…once the pads are wet, the best thing to do (as another reviewer stated) is hold the pad on your eye for a minute (focus on pressing against your eyelashes) and then wipe your eyes in a gentle, circular motion. It usually takes me about 4 pads to finish both eyes. In the end, I do have traces of mascara left. I don’t care though. I could probably get it off if I rubbed my eyes really hard, but that is terrible for the delicate skin around the eye area and helps prevent breakage of your eyelashes. (If you don’t listen to that advice, you had better save money for a plastic surgeon to fix your eyes later on…) However, I just wait until the morning and run a pad over each eye again and it’s gone. If you would rather not wait until the morning to remove the remaining mascara, you could do as I do sometimes – put a dab of “Make Up For Ever Sens’Eyes” lotion on the pad before you start the wiping. That product is awesome. (I just don’t like to put lotion on a pad or cotton ball and put it near my eyes. 9½ times out of 10 I get a piece of lint in my eye and it becomes a 10-minute battle to find it and get it out. Although you could put the Sens’Eyes lotion directly on your eyes and use a face cloth to get it off…) — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

These are great
I have been using these makeup remover pads since high school and I love them, they work great. They get all traces of eye makeup off without irritation. I have actually rubbed me actual eye with these before on accident (it happens) and they are as gentle as water. I would still be using this product if I hadn't discovered the ease of Neutrogena's Fresh Foaming Cleanser; it is just much faster. — 4 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

I prefer the blue one
I personally prefer the other (blue packaged) eye makeup remover pads because they really get everything off. These leave some mascara behind but they're still better than just soap and water. — 9 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
