Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder Reviews

Good Product!
I love how this finishes off my face. It is smooth, like silk. It is a bit over priced and the only downfall is that I feel like I can't get the perfect amount on the brush. If I get too much on it, there isn't really anywhere to tap it without wasting product.....But it works great!! — 5 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful

Acnegenic and overpriced.
The formula contains talc which has been linked to cancer (they say the powder is akin to asbestos and is dangerous to inhale) And Cornstarch which is ancegenic and comedogenic. Cornstarch and rice flour are popular alternatives to talc, however, being derived from food means they can harbor bacteria, therefore causing clogged pores and acne. Plus the price is outrageous. — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 7 people said helpful

Works GREAT for My Pale Skin
This powder is amazing. I have oily and very fair skin. Not only does it help with oil control (something that most products don't) it is also one of the VERY few powders I can wear that isn't too dark for my skin. This is one of two powders that I will ever use. I am very satisfied. — 5 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 6 people said helpful

Smooth and Silk Like
I do not use powder much but when I do this is my go to. It is smooth and silky and does not change colors throughout the day. I use it only on certain areas of the face and sometimes lightly over cream eyeshadow. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Wonderful!
By far my favorite powder! My friend allowed me to try some of hers and I fell in love with it. It stays on all day and looks very natural. It keeps my face looking matte and shine free. This is one of the only powders I have found that is not too dark for my skin (I have very pale skin and it's hard to find powders that match). This product is definitely worth the money! — 3 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

One of the Best
Although there are a few very good drugstore loose powders this on is SOOOOO great-though the price is a little steep. But it does everything a good powder should do and more-other than clean itself up after you use it!! It sets your make-up really well and has just enough shimmer to highlight your complextion and make it look soft and pretty without looking like costume. Colors and smell are nice too. The more is the shimmer-really fabulous look. So I love almost everything about it. — 3 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

One of the best out there!
This was the first setting powder I ever used. It was recommended to me by a Sephora associate, and although I've tried others, I seem to keep coming back to this. I use the translucent formula, and the result is a satin finish to the skin that lasts most of the day. It does not leave me cakey, or with a white-cast face. It seems a bit pricey, but you're getting a lot of product that should last a good 10 months or so. Like I said, I've tried many loose powders, but seem to always come back to this. In many ways, it provides the most natural and soft finish in comparison to other products. — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 6 people said helpful

The perfect finishing powder
It does everything it says it does. This powder puts your face into soft focus, blurring imperfections and giving your face a "certain something." I love it! — 1 year, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

It works
This stuff is great! I have oily skin so when I wear liquid foundation, my skin often looks oily by mid-day. If I dust some of this loose setting powder on after I apply my foundation, it absorbs all the oil and keeps my face looking matte the whole day. — 1 year, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
