Clinique Pore Minimizer Instant Perfector Reviews

Minimize those pores
ModernDayWriter (196 reviews)For those of you who have ever used spackle on a wall to fill in a hole made by a nail, you'll understand how this product works. Just imagine that all of the pores on your face are little nail holes and the Clinique Pore Minimizer is the spackle putty you use to fill them all up. This product isn't a permanent solution for enlarged pores though, it only temporarily masks the problem until you wash it off of your face. It doesn't actually contain any treatment for them, so keep that in mind (Clinique has a pore serum from the same line that actually treats them). It comes in a semi-clear thick gel, similar to the color and consistency of Smashbox Photofinish Primer. I apply it to my nose, where my pores are obnoxiously large. I do this after I moisturize but before I put on any powder or make up. It spreads out evenly and feels a little waxy as you put it on but dries and feels baby soft. It doesn't exactly soak into your skin, instead forming an invisible thin layer over your skin. I'd definitely recommend putting at least powder over it because it doesn't hold up well on its own, especially if you have oily skin. Your nose will get shiny pretty quick if you wear it alone. I have not tried it on top of existing make up though, so I can't comment on that. But it does work pretty well, so this product is definitely a must for those with big pores. It doesn't completely make them invisible, but it does get pretty close! One more tip is to make sure you are washing your face really well at the end of the day after you've used this. You don't want all that product sitting in your pores and clogging them up even more. — 2 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

A lil pricey, but very effective!
j_orestano (221 reviews)I love this product. It can be used to mop up oil before makeup application, or at any time during the day to freshen the face and diminish shine. Sometimes I use it on my t-zone, before I put my foundation on, but I really love having it with me to help midday shine. I just squeeze some onto my fingers and pat it on my t-zone. It makes my face look really matte and even, instead of cakey or heavy like it does when I keep reapplying powder. I can see this becoming a summer staple in my purse! — 1 year, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Works very well!
BeautyJunkieAmber (231 reviews)I believe that one of the biggest struggles we have with our skin is how unhappy we are with the visibility of our pores. Thanks to my fine genetics, I was unfortunate to inherit what I perceive are enlarged pores. It’s a constant fight to keep them clean and unclogged but that’s only one step of the battle. Try as we might to use ice cubes, astringents, and some other things that aren’t solving the real problem– I’ve read and been told by professionals that without radical treatment it’s highly unlikely to shrink the pore itself. I’ve accepted it, and now I’m topically trying to conceal the issue at hand. Even I believe I’m a little hyper-vigilant. I’ve tried so many topical cosmetic products for this that I can’t tell you the exact number, for I don’t even know. I’ve never been really happy with one until I found the Clinique Pore Minimizer Instant Skin Perfector. It’s kindly priced at $16.50 and comes in two colors. I use Invisible Light but it doesn’t leave color on my skin. It smooths over the pore, feels like baby skin, and forms an invisible force field! While not 100%, I think it works pretty darn well– in fact very darn well. I really like this product. — 3 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

clinique pore minimizer
ann2472 (12 reviews)I think this product is just ok. It doesn't really mattify as much as I'd like and although it masks the pores it of course doesn't clear them up. — 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Okay product
rakista051 (11 reviews)I started using this when I noticed my pores getting larger and spreading to my face. So I searched for a pore minimizer and I saw this one by clinique. I'm a fan of clinique products so I bought this to try it out. I use this before I put on my foundation. It did minimize my pores but only when I use it. I think it works by covering your pores not necessarily minimize it forever. I bought this twice but I stopped and used a toner and by regularly using pore strips. — 8 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Not quite...
lola28 (2 reviews)I was talked into purchasing this product at the Clinique counter. I was looking for a cover up product for some serious "spots". I have a very uneven skin tone with occasional break outs and the salesperson convinced me that this product was, "the best she had ever used - she never left the house without it", so, I purchased it, and it did absolutely nothing for me; no pore reduction, no under eye circle coverage (which is why she used it), no uneven skin tone coverage, no blemish coverage. I found it to have a kind of a "greasy like" application, so it glided over problem areas, it did not "stick" to cover up anything. I have used Clinique products for over 25 years, but this one was a "miss" for me. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
