This formula doesn't seem to have changed since I first used it 15 years ago. The white, mineral-oil "lotion" still has that strong Crayola smell that lingers after application and removal. Those who carry the thumb-sized bottle in their purse may want to periodically check for dirt that can collect in the grooves beneath the screw top.

    Great for waterproof eye makeup!

    I have used this for years. It is great at removing waterproof mascara. It is a nice conditioning treatment for eye area also. It IS oily, so you will have to follow with either an non-oily remover or a good cleanser. It is inexpensive, does not bother my sensitive eyes and is tops at removing stubborn waterproof mascara!     I really love this makeup remover because it works great on my skin, and doesn't make a smudged mess. It removes tough makeup that is waterproof and doesn't dry my skin. It works great as a cleanser and keeps my face feeling fresh. November 4, 2009, 1:04 am

    Burns my eyes

    I bought a Covergirl Exact Eyelights waterproof mascara and my Lancome remover would not remove the mascara, so I bought this one. It does work, but it burns my eyes and my eyes water for about the next 6 hours. I won't buy it again, but I also don't like the mascara I bought it for. It could be combo of the two that bur...n my eyes, as the mascara makes my eyes water a bit when I put it on. June 4, 2009, 1:14 pm

    It removed my waterproof mascara very easily but after using it for a few weeks my eyelashes began to clump together and be oily. I thought it was my mascara but after switching makeup remover I realized what the problem really was. I would not buy this again May 20, 2009, 2:59 am

    I bought this because my other makeup remover was too big to go in my carry-on. It does an okay job. I don't mind the smell but the bottle does tend to get a little messy. It does leave oily residue so I have to wash my face afterwards (although I need to do that nightly anyways!), Additionally, it makes your vision a littl...e blurry when it gets in your eyes. I do NOT use this or any makeup remover on my lips--too weird. A decent value, but think I'll stick w/Neutrogena's product. February 16, 2009, 6:19 pm
