A Classic Cleanser
This product has been around forever...and I'm sure there's a reason. It's a fairly mild cleanser, leaving skin soft. It doesn't strip skin of moisture or dry it out. I have extremely sensitive skin, and while I didn't notice that this cleanser really gave me any benefit, I was relieved to see that it didn't mess it up or irritate it either. I did not find that it gave me any breakout curing or preventative effects, though, so if you're using this to treat problem skin, you will likely end up very disappointed. At least the price is low. I would say that this product is just average, at the absolute best. — 1 year, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Am switching back to this product!
I used this product when I was younger and had terrible acne and VERY oily skin and it didn't seem to do much. Well the problem isn't the cleanser, it's the acne--I've tried a gazillion cleansers and no cleanser alone will get rid of my acne. I need pills, topical creams, toner AND a good cleanser! (A cleanser is only on your face a little while, so to get rid of severe and persistant acne, you'll probably need topical creams too, which I didn't realize how bad the acne was until later on). But this cleanser is GREAT as a PART of an acne/oily skin skincare regimen (NOT for people who have an occasional zit or sensitive skin). It definitely cleanses, isn't too harsh or too creamy for my skin type (very oily, severe acne, not sensitive), and is a good value. After trying many other cleansers, I'm switching back to Neutrogena's Oil-Free Acne Wash. — 4 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 6 people said helpful

Not My Favorite...
I used the Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash for a long time and found my skin drying out. I have sensitive, acne prone, combination skin and this made my oily spots more oily and my dry spots got really, really dry. I had to switch to Proactiv at 33 years old for my adult acne issues! — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 6 people said helpful

Review subject
Good product, but I prefer something that has some sort of exfoliating property to it. — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Drying
I have oily skin & this cleanser dries me out to a CRUST! While that part kind of sucks, I have to say this gets rid of make up and dirt instantly. You MUST moisturize after using this product! Great price, fragrance free & very easy to use because a little goes a long way. — 2 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 4 people said helpful

I tried this once, and the lather quality was terrible, it smelled gross, and didn't leave my skin feeling clean. at all. Feels goopy — 1 year, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

definitely not for dry skin
I have dry skin and don't get many breakouts but usually use a acne wash anyway just in case but this one just made my normally dry skin even worse so I dont like it for me personally but if you have oily skin I can see how it would work.... — 2 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful
