Bit of a dinosaur
This is one mascara that will never be discontinued. It's generally a good, inexpensive mascara to keep a tube of in your desk drawer or purse. It does have problems with wearing off during the day and giving some stellar raccoon eyes, even the waterproof kind. For a cheap, emergency mascara I actually prefer NYC as the brushes are still better. Maybe a new formula...?
In the past I haven't been too impressed with this mascara, however I have a cousin who swears by it. Recently I wanted to try the "blue/navy" look so I decided to go with this mascara. I'm not sure what's changed with this stuff, but it's incredible! I also LOVE the fact that you can put a few coats on without looking clumpy. Nothing impressive
I don't love this product, but I don't dislike it either. I can make it work, but I prefer a fuller brush to really get in between the lashes at the base of the lash. Clumpy, doesn't work well
I actually hated this mascara - I used it once and threw it away. It clumped horribly and didn't extend my lashes at all. I actually removed it and went back to my usual mascara - I never wore it outside of my room, so I have no comments on whether or not it would flake, but honestly it was so clumpy. My lashes all clumped together, with huge lumps of mascara, and they didn't lengthen at all. Not So Great Lash
I tried this mascara on different occasions before giving up on it altogether. What wasn't great about it was the fact that it made my eyelashes so stiff and had some clumping. If I waited between applying coats of it there was no difference. Even using a good lash comb did nothing to help separate the clumps and make it less stiff. During the day it always flaked off and lay on top of my cheeks like soot. Flaking occurred even with light application. In humid conditions I had smudges on top of my cheeks and under my lower lashes. Not fun! The brush comes out heavily coated with mascara and does not apply evenly. Even with gently blotting the brush (which is in essence a waste of money) the brush does a poor job. Removing it is not as easy as the product claims say. To me it's just not worth it no matter what the price. I'd rather spend more money on a product that actually lives up to it's claims than waste a small amount on this product that doesn't work. I can't understand why it is so popular but obviously it works for some. Lovely in Blackest Black
I've always like this mascara for a nice, natural look. It definitely has a thinner formula and so there is a wait time after application, but it does leave my black lashes darker and more defined. It does NOT curl or lengthen...but does thicken a bit. . I do have to fan my eyes after applying it to get it to set. I use this when I want a minimalist look ~ it's perfect for those times when you don't want to do a full make-up. Eh...
I'm not one of those women who are rabid fans of this mascara. I don't find it to be spectacular at all. It does nothing for my shorter lashes, and is not durable and long lasting enough for me (humidity smudging). I'd rather spend a few extra bucks and head to MAC. Why is this purchased so often?
I was suckered into buying this because I heard an ad about how many were boughted every second or something like that. I turn into Ricky Racoon after 3 hours with this mascara on. Sure it is dark black but it doesn't make your lashes look thick or curly.
