Looked good for an hour...
Then my face turned into a greasy looking mess! Right after I applied it my face looked smooth and my pores were filled in. But later, it was terrible. Worse than if I hadn't used any primer! I definitely wouldn't buy this again. — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 3 people said helpful

Nice
I had heard good things about this primer so I was excited to get a deluxe sample of this as a gift with purchase from a Sephora order. One downside for me is that this comes in a jar, so you have to stick your finger into the jar which isn't as sanitary as a tube or a pump. I was also surprised by the amount that I had to use to cover the areas of my face that need priming (t-zone). Apart from that, the application was really nice. It felt smooth and silky on my face and filled in my fine lines and pores. This was definitely effective at making my face makeup last through a long day. Wearing a light coverage foundation, my skin still looked airbrushed, even hours after application. For $32, you receive half an ounce of product. Benefit's POREfessional works in a very similar way to this and it costs $30 for three quarters of an ounce. The packaging is also more sanitary. Having tried both, I would purchase the full size of Benefit's primer instead of this. Per ounce, this Clarins primer is even more expensive than my absolute favorite primer, Hourglass Mineral Veil, yet it doesn't have the same amount of benefits and uses more product per application. I am glad I got to try this and will enjoy using the rest of my sample jar, but will continue using other primers that are less pricey per ounce and easier to use. — 3 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Smooth as a baby's bottom!
I was shocked that the price was so reasonable, being a Clarins product! Just a very little of this goes a long way! I loved the way it felt and how it helped out my makeup! A must have! — 5 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 2 people said helpful

Yum!
So smooth. Instant results! I keep the jar in the bathroom for morning and have the "pen style" in my purse for touch ups. I love the way it makes my skin feel! I never use foundation since finding this. My skin is super dry and this product feels and acts like a moisturizer as well. This is the first and only clarins product I have tried so far, and I am so impressed I will definitely be trying some more! It totally erases the lines on my forehead and between my eyebrows. And the results last for several hours. Thanks to Clarins for creating such a wonderful product. — 9 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 5 people said helpful

Clarins Primer
This is a great primer I love it. It's great for aging skin. L'oreal has a similiar one lower price point. If it were a blind survery I would not be able to tell which one it was. — 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Primah!
After using a primer that was sadly disappointing, I decided to turn to ANOTHER brand that I love, and use their version. Oh Clarins, how you never do me wrong. Soft and even is all I can say. Once that baby is on your face, you have never felt anything softer. It's a fantastic base for your make up. Fills up lines, pores, you name it. So why only 8 out of 10? Price. It's a bit pricey for the amount you get, but I would do it again. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Smooth! and kept my make from settling into my pores and wrinkles
Tried it using it more for the line filler due to the Nordstroms clerk demo, was amazed how well it worked in as a filler but equally pleased with the use as a primer! Leases skin smooth and silky! i have combination skin usually on the oily side and I did not find that this was a greasy product more like a silky feel and not shiney! no break outs — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Sooo smooth
I would stick to using just clarins' base if only I could afford to. It leave my skin velvety and silky. My foundation glides on nicely because of it. — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 2 people said helpful

Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch
I had a love hate relationship with this product at first... See, When I used it the first time I used way way way too much and learned the hard way a little goes a long way, because I had to leave my face the way it was all cakey and gross or I would have been late for school. I didn't use it again for months... One day I found it behind noticed it in my bag and thought about what a shame it was that the stuff basically sucked and I had wasted my $ on something I did not use. But I decided to give it another try the trick is to use just a bit and I found that when I used a foundation brush to apply followed by light stippling with a stippling brush, my skin was so smooth and when I applied my foundation on top it was flawless!! I was amazed then and I still use this everyday and I have even referred it to my mom and most of my girlfriends. Since then I experiment a few times with new makeup and looks I want to achieve... That way when it is 10 minutes until I have to leave for school, there are no more ugly mistakes like that!! — 1 year, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful

Waste of money
I purchased instant smooth after reading rave reviews on beauty review sites, I think this is an awful product - what did it do?? NOTHING. I told the lady behind the counter that I wanted to cover the open pores near my nose, she said this will cover them and then went on to try and sell me another clarins product which she said will close these open pores which I have! She did not know I am a qualified beatuy therapist - there are products which can temporarily shrink the appearance of open pores and prevent the pores from stretching further, but she was trying to lead me to believe it would close the pores and they would be gone forever!! If only!! Anyway, I used this product and found my make up slid of because of it plasticy feel, I have now bought the Laura Mercier Primer which is worth it's weight in gold! — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful
