I really like this hair spray. I have pretty thick hair and I've found that this really does a good job of holding my hair in place without making it feel sticky and it doesn't give you that helmet head look either. The scent isn't terribly overpowering like someother hairsprays I've used in the past but it does have a strong scent to it. I only use this once in a great while so the can that I have has lasted for a long time. It's not too firming to the point where your hair feels stuck together . I like to lightly mist my long hair with this. It's just enough of a hold to last through out the day. I would not get this if you have an issue with hairspray that has fragrance to it. You can smell this from a mile away. Plus it's not on the natural side, so use sparingly so your hair doesn't dry out. — 1 year, 4 months ago

I purchased the small bottle of this hair spray at the salon I went to when I got my haircut yesterday. I paid $15 for the small can which I thought was RIDICULOUS considering it is the size of a travel hair spray you would buy at any drugstore. (the regular size can is $24) I'm glad that I didn't buy the regular size can though because while the product does work nice if you're looking for a flexible hold hair spray, IT SMELLS DISGUSTING. It's comparable (in my opinion) to an elderly woman's perfume. I did like the way I was able to layer it without it ever getting that "crunchy" look or feel but I think that if I do keep layering it I am going to go through it a lot quicker. The first spray you give your hair doesn't hold the style you spent all your time achieving so it's almost a guarantee that you are going to keep spraying it and wasting (in my opinion again) the product. And at $15 (for the small can) and $24 (for the regular can), you aren't going to want to waste the product (or your money!!). There are plenty of other flexible hold hair sprays that smell good and are A LOT lower in cost that will give you better results. — 1 year, 2 months ago

Great hairspray, strong scent, BAD SPRAYER/NOZZLE

Great multi-tasking spray. Works as root lift, all over spray, beach waves on damp hair, etc... Very strongly scented... some days I like it, others it seems overwhelming. The sprayer, however, is crap. I've had to toss two 3/4 full cans because the sprayer clogged and can't seem to be washed off. I've tried soaking in alcohol and nail polish remover, to no avail. Maybe they could include extra nozzles with the cans?? Since, it's been several months after purchase each time it's happened, Aveda won't replace the cans. So, I won't buy again until they either fix the nozzle issue or guarantee a replacement can if it clogs... no matter how much time has passed since purchase. — 1 year, 1 month ago

Great mist but faulty Sprayer

I love the spray and it has a wonderfully fine mist but the sprayer clogs when I don't use it for a week or so. I have tried other sprays but keep coming back to this one hoping the sprayer is fixed. Unfortunately my last can just clogged up after I returned from a 2 week vacation. I hate throwing out an almost full bottle but I have tried washing the sprayer with not luck. — 1 year, 1 month ago

The hairspray is effective. I like the hold and the ability to put my fingers through it. However, I can't stand the smell. It is almost like a new carpet or a new car smell. I'm interviewing for jobs and am afraid that the smell overpowers me. It doesn't make a good first impression. — 3 years ago
