Tarte Sunburst Beaded Bronzing Lotion

It's unnerving to slather bronzer on your face when what squirts out of the tube is a white lotion containing small brown beads. What will the color look like? It actually gives a sheer, natural glow. Although it looks dark when first applied, it blends easily into skin. The issue is the beads. You must rub your fingertips together to break them up before you apply the lotion. They won't burst easily on your cheeks, which is frustrating.

      radiant glow

      by ladydove1946 (5 reviews)
I am a woman of color and I enjoy the sun-burnished glow of this bronzer. I use this product in the summer months when I don't want to use a heavy foundation. Also, taking advantage of the oil-free moisturizer giving me a super hydrated complesion. Make sure to break up the beads before applying . April 29, 2008, 9:44 pm

I had received a sample of this to try. Breaking of the beads is frustrating, it does do what it claims and once the beads were broke it went on rather smoothly. I have tried many other lotions out there that are much easier to use. April 26, 2008, 7:40 am

      leaves you streaky

      by AmyB58 (198 reviews)
if you don't mind your tan feeling streaky or even looking streaky than this is not for you. I prefer a tan all over look and this does not give it however it is easy to apply and is great at making your skin feel nourished. April 22, 2008, 8:36 am

      Too shiny

      by Gingerbreath (5 reviews)
Would like this product more if it gave a matt finish. Maybe during the fall, winter and spring the look is good, but too dewy for the summer! June 27, 2008, 2:48 pm

      Not bad

      by elizab48 (68 reviews)
The only thing I didn't like about this product were the beads. Breaking them were hard, and they did streak. But the color payoff is beautiful! May 27, 2008, 2:47 pm

      Awkward Beads

      by lulufrufru (9 reviews)
I'm a fan, but I'm not so into the beads. They streak and leave you with lines on your legs. Without the beads it would have been great, because it really does give your legs a nice tan glow. March 24, 2008, 11:00 pm

      Good idea

      by mhw (50 reviews)
Really cute idea, but you have to break the beads in your hand/finger tips and not on the face as it can leave you looking a bit streaky and then you have to blend, blend, blend. February 21, 2008, 8:33 am
