Juicy Tube look-alikes at drugstore prices may sound heavenly to some, but beware: L'Oreal Colour Juice Sheer Juicy Lip Gloss is like Elmer's Glue for the lips. You won't be able to wipe off the sticky, gooey formula fast enough. High shine and sheer color are indeed present until you eat or drink, but the nauseatingly sweet, artificial attempt at a fruity scent is one even a toddler might avoid. (Cherry on Top is one of many fun, deceiving names.) Wear it only to scare away deadbeat dates.

Nice and sheer
by avalencia (32 reviews)Trusted ReviewI first purchased this back in high when I wanted that kinda grown-up stronger pigment look but didn't want to look like a complete grown-up. I did love the sweet but not overly sweet smell (...smackers anyone?..) and the sheerness of it. It kinda scared me at first to try new colors but I loved this. It is a little stic...kly but not to the extent that anyone could really hate it. It's actually pretty thick and does leave the hair-stuck-to-your-mouth effect but the colors are so pretty and pleasant smelling that I can't help it. Fours years after first trying it and I will keep buying it. GOOD NEWS!! I found this out years ago so for all you LANCOME LOVERS this is the same thing as Lancome's Juicy Tubes. Trust me. I always buy Lancome when they have those sales promotions with the free goodies and I recognized the scent but couldn't put my finger on it. Sure enough, it felt, smelled, and did the exact same thing as L'Oreals (and if your a makeup freak researcher like me, you probably remember that all this huge cosmetics counters are basically the same DS stuff you find at Wal-Mart and Walgreens...they just put a different label to sell the BRAND!!) Now back to the review, I got this first in Caramel Creme which I love and looks nice on my semi-olive yellow-undertoned skin. My only gripe about it is you have to reapply it every hour and when it does dry off completely you're left with this small glitter on you lips which won't completely come off without washing. Other than that, it's worth the money especially with coupons!

L'Oreal Colour Juice in Iced Latte
by emilynoel83 (8 reviews)It's kind of a shimmery copper/bronze color. Terrific if you want to go a step beyond a nude lip for a little added warmth. This is so shiny, and I love using it when I have a brownish gold look on they eyes and bronzer on my cheeks. As with all the Colour Juice glosses, the color is sheer and the consistency is a little s...ticky, but that helps with the staying power. I also like using this over any lipstick that I think needs to be toned down a bit. It's probably my favorite Colour Juice shade! December 10, 2007, 7:55 pm

The colors are sheer enough to use alone or wear over lipstick and they range from subtle to dramatic colors for any look. I also like the fact that these match up to department store brands in quality, it isn't too runny o...r watery. And for the price, having many colors/shades of this product is actually affordable. Glossy color, not my favorite applicator though.

They are highly pigmented glossy colors, Melon Punch has sparkle to it while Candy Apple does not. This gloss isn't too sticky and does have a more sophisticated feel from what a teenager might wear. The smell is a subtle "juicy" scent... which I like. It lasts maybe an hour before you have a bit of fading. My only gripe is that I don't like the applicator on this. I end up using my fingers to put it on and I don't like the idea of doing that as a quick touch up if I can't wash my hands first. Other than that its a great glossy lipcolor! Pretty and Glossy!

It moisturizes your lips for a great, healthy look. I don't bother with the applicator. I just dispense some onto my finger and smooth it on that way. The applicator is my only complaint.
