Great Clarifying Lotion
In comparison to the regular clinique clarifying lotion, this product is not as good simply because of the extra step to mix the white powder residue that's at the bottom of this bottle. Hence the minus one star. However, in conjunction with the three-step system, this bottom is a vital step in maintaining clear skin. Right after I wash my face and wipe with a clean towel, I take a cotton wipe and dab a bit of this on to my entire face. It leaves my skin feeling refreshingly smooth. I share this with my boyfriend, so I'm almost done with this entire bottle. I like it but it's a little expensive for a toner...
I do really like this product but it's a little expensive, so I no longer use it. I'm using a drugstore one right now that seems to have almost the same results. Works without feeling burned....
I have tried many products to fight against my pimples, and some products gave me feeling of burning and stinging with strong alcohol or chemical smell. BUT Clinique Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion does not have any of that. It seems to be gentle, yet effective to prevent acne. Bad (for me)
I think I reviewed the wrong toner earlier. This is definitely the product I had and I definitely did not like it. It does have an unpleasant scent, which I had forgotten about and also didn't mind that much. I can always forgive a product with a bad fragrance if it works well. This didn't. I had acne breakouts every time I used it and I DIDN'T have any new breakouts when I didn't use it. So it was very clear that this product was doing the exact opposite of what it is meant to do. Good Toner
I used this toner as a teen and at first it worked really well but after awhile it just stoped working and my acne came back. Its Okay but not great
I've tried better toners than this. It has less than 2% salicylic acid, which is recommened for clearing up acne. I'm not saying that it doesn't work, I was just using it twice as long as I would have if it'd been made with 2% salicylic acid. I don't think the alcohol helps either. I know there are other toners out there that are alcohol free and work just as good, if not better. Great product!
I have been a longtime Clinique user and I thought the Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion would be too strong for me - I don't have acne but I am fighting blackheads daily. I was wrong! This is a great Salicylic Acid medication with a powder in it. Completely unexpected! I shake the product until it is dissolved and sweep it across my face and am amazed how clean my skin looks and how it removes additional debris from my pores. The powder inside is supposed to help with oil. It seems to really be working and I am pleased with the product. It is only $13, but I do wish this lotion was available in the larger size like the others are. Perfect alternative!
For those of you out there looking for something to control your acne & sine, this clarifying lotion is perfect! I was a faithful user of the Proactiv 3 step system, however it became hard to find and ordering online became a hassle and expensive. Clinique came up with the perfect 3 step system that superseed's Proactiv. Not only is it easy to find, Macy's, Lord & Taylor and online (shipping is generally free and quick) you also get more product from Clinique for a few dollars less then Proactiv. Works Great!!
This is a great toner if you are trying to avoid or treat acne. I have been using the 3 step acne system for about a month now and my skin is looking so much healthier. No new breakouts!!
