color does not match the box

I bought one of these and the color looks much duller than the color on the box. It doesn't match the same color either.

I always go back to this :)

I'm always trying new things but i always come back to this dye. I've been using it since high school (in different shades) The darker colors usually come out darker and fade in a few days to the proper color. the cream color doesn't drip or get all over the place and the conditioner is fabulous! The dark color does fade a bit faster than i'd like (maybe color preserving shampoo would help?) so i ...read morehave to dye my whole head instead of just my roots. But my mom uses a blond shade and her hair looks freaking great, she only needs to do her roots (lucky).

Better than Salon!

Even my stylist was surprised at the condition of my hair after I used this dye. He commented on the staying power of the color and recommended that I stick to this if I was going to continue to do it myself. The color lasts forever without fading. So far, I've only used this in 3 Natural Black. So I can't vouch for the lighter colors. I have high hopes, though. This product leaves my hair conditioned and soft, even healthier than before I dyed it!

Can't Beat it for the Price

This definitely does the job if you want a quick, easy and inexpensive home hair dye product. I personally don't think home dye jobs are ever as good as in-salon treatments, but this one works just great for a quick, fast and cheap fix to your color issues.

Excellence was a terrible product

When another line stopped producing light ash brown, I grudgingly bought Excellence in that shade. What a huge mistake! The color came out much darker than my own medium brown, the hair wasn't soft after conditioning, and about 6 hours later an inch sized crusty blister appeared on my scalp. Save up your money and buy Olia even if the shade is not exactly correct. You will save your hair and scalp.

Loreal excellence creme light natural blonde

this color FRIED my hair and broke it off on top of my head.....I am so very disappointed in this color....I will NEVER use it again or recommend to ANYONE else

Horrible!

I will never purchase again. I chose a light golden brown, which ended up being an almost dark brown near my roots, and a dark grayish-blonde near the tips. I had to go buy the cheaper brand I usually use to cover up the disaster, and it did wonderful as usual. I will never make this mistake again.

Black No. 1!

Younger me found it hysterical that there was an actual hair dye to go along with Type O Negative's infamous song. This was the second black I had ever used many years ago, and it came out fantastic! Easy application, and because it's cream it's not as much of a mess as other dyes. (Though don't we all have that one destroyed shirt that has seen so many dyes? Mine needs to be thrown away, but we've been through so much together! Haha)
