Almay Intense I-Color Play Up Powder Shadow Reviews

A Great Idea!
I like the idea of playing up my eye color and Almay has made it easy with the Intense I-Color palettes. These palettes do play up my blue eyes. My only problem is the lasting time. This is not still on at the end of the day. If you don't mind touching up, this is an economical choice for beautiful eye color. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Pretty good
This have OK color pay off but are not very long lasting even with a primer. I love that they packaged all the colors for your particular eye color. The purples are really great choices for the brown eyed gals. These are just OK for the price. Probably would buy these colors again just from a different brand. Great way to figure out what works with your eye color though. — 2 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Not great, glad they changed the formula
I like the idea of the almay palettes. These eyeshadows however are not that great. They don't blend well, the darker colors are the worst. They are hard yet highly pigmented making things worse with the lack of blend-ability. They have some interesting color combinations which is neat. They have since reformulated their shadows and while they are softer and easier to blend, they still aren't the best. — 12 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

HIt and miss
I have brown eyes and started out with the lightest version of the Play Up kits. Maybe it was my fair skin, but no matter how light I put on the purple shadows, they made me look like I was either the tirdest person in the world or like I was recovering from a nose job. The darker set was not any better. I tried the other sets and actually had more success with the hazel and green eye kits (based on compliments). I really do like how well the shadow applies, blends and wears, and I love the coordinating products. I just wish they would add a little more variety in their colors. — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Satin-I line is perfect.
The colors in the Satin-I collection for brown eyes are simply lovely. Pure and true color pay-off. I also used my old Amethyst liner I bought with my original kit for brown eyes, but it was too light and so I went over it with a black pencil and created a stunning, deep blue-violet liner. Anyway, my brown eyes did look as if they were glowing. Or maybe it was just because I liked the color so much. ;) Great product, but only the Satin-I line, not a fan of the original line. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

date night shadow
I have the shadow for brown eyes. I also used the amethyst liquid liner and mascara along with this plus I use eye shadow brushes to apply shadow. My eyes stood out and seemed to even look bigger. It also lasts a whole night with hardly any creasing (and I tested it dancing at a night club!) This is great shadow for a date, special occasion, or a night out. However, it's a bit too frosty and intense for school or the office. — 4 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Not so good for Hazel
I picked this up because I do have one other Almay eye shadow kit for hazel eyes that isn't quite so dramatic. I have to say when I started applying the colors, I was like OMG! I am just not used to wearing dark colors. It didn't last through the day, but as the darkness wore off, it actually looked better. — 2 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
