There's just something about ulta products that are either a hit or miss. Even though they supposedly reformulated their cosmetics, I've seen very little improvement. This lipstick doesn't glide over chapped lips like some of the more pigmented luxury brands--this lipstick tends to emphasize chapped lips. And this lipstick is not very well-pigmented. I tried on several colors and you could barely see them on my lips. If you are looking for more of a sheer look, then I will suggest this product to you, but if you are looking for a super rich color then I would try something. Heavy pigmentation is so important to me because I do have a lot of deep pigments in my lips so I need a highly pigmented lip color to cover that. Even if I cover my lips with foundation or a lip primer, the color is still too ridiculously sheer for my liking. One thing that I do like is that it doesn't feel sticky on my lips, and it also feels lightweight. However, I feel that I could find a better quality lip stick in a cheaper drugstore brand than with this. Keep in mind, don't buy drugstore products at ulta unless you're desperate and/or do not have access to other stores because they really mark up the prices for drug store brands. — 3 months ago

Lovely Shades, Not Great Wear

I received this product free as part of a gift with purchase. The shades and application are lovely. Also, the packaging is visually appealing. The lipstick has no taste, but does have a bit of an odd smell. I found, however, that the lipstick did not wear very well. It wore a bit uneven and did not last as long as other lipsticks. However, when these go on sale at Ulta, the price may be worth the lesser quality. — 10 months, 2 weeks ago

Ulta Lipstick Tastes like Soap!

I am so disappointed! First, let me tell you, I LOVE Ulta. I can spend 3 hours in Ulta just like my husband can spend 3 hours in Home Depot! So, I made the 40 minute trek to the nearest Ulta store to stock up on my Ulta lipstick and waterproof eyeliner, etc. Very fun shopping, but I have to say, each time I go, they are ALWAYS out of both Black and Brown/Black automatic waterproof eyeliner. Stock up, people! I chose Chocolate and Raisin, which are both good, too. They did not carry my favorite Lilac Shimmer lipstick so I bought two new shades (for me): Sheer Blush and Sheer Mocha. Got home, tried them on, and UGH! Are they making these with Ivory soap now??! The taste is horrible and they're completely unwearable. The soapy taste doesn't dissipate either. I tossed them in my purse anyways, being the makeup junkie that I am. Well, to add insult to injury, the caps don't stay on!! I definitely don't need top-less lipsticks floating around in my purse. I noticed the lipstick cases are a new design from my prior Ulta lipsticks. Ulta, whatever you are doing to your lipsticks - please stop! I'm afraid to buy another one now. — 2 years, 6 months ago

doesn't freaking show!

I'm surprised that this product is getting a lot of good reviews. I bought what looked like a nice, deep color, but when I put it on my lips it hardly shows as much as a light gloss. If I had wanted a sheer, light color, I would have bought a sheer, light color. I hate lipsticks that go on nothing like the color of the product! — 3 years, 10 months ago

My 4 year old daughter really loved it!
