Great heat without scorching

by besemerl (6 reviews)
My hair is very fine and this provides constant heat without the "burn" effect. The barrel is easy to clean and doesn't appear have the product build up that I've had on other products. I have a model that can convert from a round barrel or slip the "hook" and it separates the barrel to give me a terrific flat iron. I'm not sure I'd recommend it for the curly hair in regard to straightening but works great to get a nice smooth shiny look to wavy or straight hair.03/27/2008

I had to return one because it seemed to just fall apart under the handle. But so far my new one is working and staying together. The price is very fair too. And the packaging is appealing. Smooth!

      by TemMom (41 reviews)
I got the 1 1/2" barrel, and it really smooths out my hair. It's naturally almost straight, with just a hint of wave. This makes it shiny and I can add a bit of curl if I want. Gets pretty hot, if not as scorching as a professional model. May 29, 2008, 1:30 pm

      Great curling iron

      by RunnyBunny (4 reviews)
I love this curling iron. You can dial the heat to where you want it. It heats up in 30 seconds! The ceramic iron lets me curl my hair even when it's still damp without scorching it. I bought this at Walmart and it was well worth the money! August 12, 2008, 8:13 pm

Who needs to spend more than $20 on a curler?

I always wanted a change from my usually straight hair, so I got this one because it was cheap but also ceramic so it wouldn't damage my locks as much as with metal. I just wish the barrel was longer, and the clamp was designed differently because sometimes I get telltale crease on my curls. Anyways, it works splendidly without damaging my hair. It heats up very quickly and is very easy to clean, and the swivel cord ensures it doesn't tangle up during use. August 3, 2008, 12:55 am

June 20, 2008, 6:36 am I have had something similar for several years. I have the version where it comes apart to be used as a straightner and then locks together for the curler. Unfortunately the plastic piece that locks it together broke not long after purchase, so I had to bind it together with a plastic tie. Other than that, the curler I have used on occasion for years and now the ceramic coating is coming off. Basically, considering what I paid for it, it was about what I expected. I have curly thick ethnic hair and this did wonders for my hair. It curled my bangs amazingly and it didnt give it that burnt hair smell. May 31, 2008, 5:33 pm

my daughter really loves this curling iron - she says it's one of the best she ever had. You can control the temperature and the ceramic barrel seems to make the curls last longer May 29, 2008, 1:38 am
