This foam cleanser is actually quite amazing. I usually like cream cleansers because they are moisturizing but I have to say, this cleanser left my face clean and refreshed, didn't irritate, and actually dealt with the redness and irritation. I'm usually VERY sensitive. The whole line really works. And you can get it from the drugstore or Wal Mart. Wow! — 3 years, 8 months ago

Causes problems it promises to soothe

This product gave me very itchy, bumpy atopic dermatitis. I am very unhappy as this product specifically says it "helps visibly reduce redness and calm dry, irritated or sensitive skin while gently cleansing". It also says it is hypoallergenic. When my face broke out, I did some research on the ingredients and discovered that feverfew used in the product as a calming ingredient is actually known to commonly cause allergic skin reactions as it is in the chrysantemum and ragweed family. Many people with sensitive skin are also allergy sufferers. Huge disappointment! — 3 years, 2 months ago

To start, I have combo/dry skin, which is sensitive, and enjoys breaking out. I have tried everything from drugstore brands, to department store brands, to dermatologist reccomended products. Nothing worked. After using a prescription cleanser and cream for 4 months, neither working, I gave up hope. I had read several reviews on this cleanser, and since it offered nothing special, was just a normal cleasner, I though I'd give it a try. I purchased it for around $6-7 at Wal-Mart, and I'd pay much more! This cleanser is everything I could ever want! It cleanses your skin without leaving residue, or dryness. It leaves it soft, and smooth. REMEMBER! It is not supposed to help with acne, but this product has cleared my skin more than any other product I've ever used. Yes, I still have acne, but it isn't as bad as it used to be. This cleanser, along with the Ultra Calming moisturizer, has turned my skin around. I would highly reccomend this! — 2 weeks, 6 days ago

Let me say first that I am not a big fan of the Aveeno brand. I have used bunch of their products in the past and none of them worked properly for me, infact they were all problematic for my skin, gave me clogged pores or blackheads, and did absolutely nothing positive for my skin. After trying few of their products I kind of was determined not to waste my money with this specific brand, cause it’s not for me but then I decided to give this cleanser a sought and it worked. I am 35+, have and had almost problem free skin my entire life. That might sound a little smug but it’s true, I never had any acne problem, I still dont have any wrinkle, I can use or start using any product without worrying about break outs. The only issues I have is that minimum sun exposure gives me dark spots and if I use too much exfoliating products ( AHA / BHA) I get broken capillaries’and redness around my nose. Recently I started a retinol cream so my skin is more sensitive than ever. I was already using Dove Baby Wash for face (which is really mild) but decided to try this cleanser as well, and its truly an amazing cleanser. It does not dry out my skin at all, it does not make it more sensitive and my skin do feel fresh and clean. I am using it everyday, sometimes twice, sometimes once and I will recommend it to anyone since it seems very mild. I do think it’s slightly pricier than other Aveeno cleansers because of the less condensed formula. I don’t think my bottle will last more than a month . The bottle has a pump that dispenses foam directly and that is even more helpful for using it with my clarisonic brush. This is definitely a keeper for me. — 4 weeks ago

Very Gentle Cleanser

At the moment I am on Accutane and as a result my sensitive skin has become even more sensitive. This cleanser is awesome for that very reason! It calms sensitive irritated skin. However I have found it does not do a good job taking off my makeup at the end of the day; explanation for the 6 instead of more stars. Great for Sensitive Skin

I have sensitive/ roscea prone skin and I really love this face wash. One of the first face washes that I used that cleaned but didn't irritate or overly dry my skin. Gentle cleansing for young teens to adults with mild acne

Depending on the seasons (and time of the month) I tend to have a couple of zits here and there to mild acne. After a week of using this cleanser, I've seen noticeable changes: less redness, smoother skin, brighter complexion, pores reduced and reduced acne signs. Also, it doesn't leave a dry finish after washing (my skin doesn't feel tight). I advise to wash your face twice a day and use a day cream and night cream. — 9 months ago

this is the best cleanser for sensitive or dry skin. it leaves you feeling not too dry but like the oils have been removed along with dirt and other makeup items (excluding mascara and lipstick). the foam relieves you of having to make bubbles with regular liquid wash. There is no annoying sent or color. it also washes off fully. after you finish, go with your regular routine of moisturizer. — 1 year, 5 months ago

I only used it once thought it would help my face...as soon as i used it my face was burning broke out in a rash n felt very red raw n sore..it made it 100 times worse...i thought id like the product i was really hoping it id love it like so many people have...just beware that it could make ur face worse it isnt for everyone....it gonna take days for my face to calm down :( — 1 year, 6 months ago

My Go-To Cleanser!

I have super sensitive skin, and this is one cleanser that gives me everything I am looking for when it comes to keeping my face fresh. I like that it is foaming, easy to work with. It is very gentle on my skin, doesn't burn my eyes, and does a great job removing all of my makeup. I notice in the winter it can be just a little drying, but nothing that would deter me from using it. One bottle lasts a long time as well, even with using it twice a day. Love it! — 2 years ago
