L'Oréal Paris True Match Naturale Mineral Foundation Reviews

Difficult, Dreadful, and Doubtful
While sifting through all the shades isn't difficult enough, at eight to thirteen dollars, this can be a drag to shop for. However, I managed to find a shade close to my skintone but left me rolling my eyes as another mineral formula failed to impress me. One positive aspect is that it does have a more matte finish and yellow undertones compared to a product line such as Maybelline Mineral Power but this was a chalked on mess. Not only was the brush included unuseful, it was stiffer in the middle and looser on the outter hairs which left streaky uneven application all through out the face, how inconvenient. Now, I don't mean to sound like a snob to L'Oreal as they make some of the finest lines but this gave me a reason to doubt when the day wore on and found that the chalky mineral makeup foundation wasn't even on my face anymore but had been easily rubbed off. This is definitely better applied with a much larger kabuki brush but don't expect it to be your cosmetic staple anytime soon as you'll see your complexion either shiny in a couple hours or uneven from the application flaws. — 5 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 9 of 9 people said helpful

Not good
I was hoping for more coverage than I got from Bare essentials, but this is even lighter than that is. I got bad coverage with this, Would not buy again. — 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Awful!
I've been dissatisfied with a number of mineral foundations so far, but this is the worst! It looked as though I'd dusted metallic shimmer powder all over my face. Yes, there was significant coverage, but it settled in immediately and emphasized large pores and lines that I didn't even know I had! I'd like my skin to look somewhat like skin, and it didn't with this on. It somehow looked shiny and chalky at the same time - very mask-like. It smells bad, too. I washed my face soon after applying this product, unwilling to even try wearing it for a full day. I've since tried it again, using it more sparingly or in combination with other powders (I just hate to throw stuff away), but I can't make this work. Any amount of this powder on my face ruins the whole look. I think this is the first L'Oreal product that I've ever disliked. — 4 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Best drugstore mineral makeup so far
Coverage is light to medium, also doubles as concealer, great summer foundation, and it has spf! For oily/combo skin, powder mineral makeup helps control shine better . The built in brush is soft, but bad quality and hard to use. Separate brushes are recommended when applying. Color selection is good, but packaging is a little bulky and unnecessary. Overall, great stuff for the drugstore price. — 3 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 2 people said helpful

I absolutely LOVE this foundation
After all the different powders and foundations I have used, I have finally found a keeper! The color selection is great and actually offered a shade that matched my skin tone exactly - something that rarely happens for me as I have a darker, olive skin tone that needs yellow undertones rather than pink or orange ones. I only need a very small amount to give me a flawless, matte look. If your skin is a bit dry, you will certainly want to moisturize very well before applying this product and you won't have any problems. — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 4 people said helpful

Super Drying
I would not purchase this again, nor do I recommend anyone else would. Not only is it impossible to get a close enough color match, but it is also super drying and brings out the worst in my skin. Very poor quality and the price is much too high for a drugstore product. — 4 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

It's better than most
I still like bare escentuals better, this offers good coverage but does not prove to be long lasting. Overall, good value for the money. — 4 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 2 people said helpful

Worst ever!
I hated it! It's a waste of money, difficult to use with the brush it comes with and doesn't cover and it's a mess every time you use it. — 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Light and airy
L'Oreal's Mineral Foundation has a very light and airy texture and applies smoothly and evenly to the skin. Coverage is light at best and seems to provide coverage that is slightly heavier than that of a loose powder. Instead of the brush that is included with the container, use a regular powder brush or a brush specifically created for the application of mineral powder foundation. The finish appears very matte on your skin but still looks natural. — 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 2 people said helpful

Not natural
I tried this before shelling out the money for the BE Mineral foundation. This foundation just doesn't look natural on me. It gives me a glow but looks so obvious that I am wearing make-up. — 5 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful
