Smoky Eye Heaven...
I've been using this shadow FOR YEARS. I'm currently using "Stylish Smokes" and use three of the colors in the package. There's always one color out of the four that is really sparkly and shimmery, which I don't use, so it goes to waste. But other than that, I love these shadows. The color payoff is HUGE ~ deep, dark and beautiful color, smooth application and excellent blendability. I prefer to u...read morese the sponge-tip applicators that come with it....they seem to deliver more color per application. I blend with a brush afterwards. I've tried using a brush to apply, but the color goes on too weak. like makeup for dummies!
i love how they have a photo guide for multiple ways of applying the eye shadow quads! very helpful for someone who never really learned how to "contour" and what not (like me). i only wish the color combos worked better - i picked this up in "time for wine" and the matte nude shade recommended for the lid makes no difference when i applied - invisible! the suggested color co...read morembos looks better in the palette than on my eyes =( but i can always customize to my own liking...This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful

Poor quality
The color intensity as well as the quality of these eyeshadows is extremely poor. In order to see any color on my eyelids, I need to apply about 4 times and even then it's not as intense as needed. I recently bought the sunlit bronze and found the little indentations signifying where on the lid to put the shadow quite helpful! Maybelline make-up goes on pretty lightly so has more of a natural finished look than other brands. Not high quality eyeshadows.
I like to do my eyes very dramatic and I get a bit limited by the pigments in this eyeshadows. If you don't wear dramatic makeup, like more sheer eyeshadows and don't know how to combine eyeshadows for smoky eyes or you're a makeup newbie this are great to start. Good Buy
I have tried many eyeshadows from other drugstore brands, but Maybelline is becoming a favorite. The colors look as pretty on skin as they do in the packaging, and the texture is smooth and easy to work with. I actually just bought some yesterday and have plans to purchase more in the near future. Great value
This eye shadow has nice colors. I also like the instructions it comes with. I have no problem with creasing if I use a primer. I also use a brush to apply. Love These Quads
