Benefit Hoola

Gem of a box, worthy of displaying sink-side, with a cute name and a perfect brown-y bronze powder inside. The color inside is flat matte, not a sparkle to be found, making it utterly realistic for a range of skin tones. The texture is silky and won't get streaky, as long as you ditch the tiny square brush that comes with it, and use a big powder duster instead.

    great!

I love this product as a natural looking bronzer, the matte finish leaves a more natural look than other bronzers that have more of a golden sparkle to them. May 27, 2008, 7:36 am I love this product as a natural looking bronzer, the matte finish leaves a more natural look than other bronzers that have more of a golden sparkle to them. I use a very little bit and blend in good when I have no tan as my skin is pretty fair and Hoola gives my skin a nice natural glow. When I have some color I still wear Hoola to enhance my tan and give my skin a nice even matte finish. It is a little dark at first but once you get used to the color its easy to control how deep you want the color with your brush. May 27, 2008, 7:36 am

    Faux tan perfected

I love this bronzer because it looks completely real, no orange or stripes at all. In the summer I can almost use it as a face powder, and when I am less tan gives me the glow that I miss. November 21, 2007, 9:37 am I love this bronzer because it looks completely real, no orange or stripes at all. In the summer I can almost use it as a face powder, and when I am less tan gives me the glow that I miss. It's great because it is matte, like a real tanned complexion would be. It also is great for contouring and shadowing things you may want to hide or even define. A little on the bottom edge of the jaw makes it seem stronger, and makes the jaw seem less like it blends into the neck, down the sides of the nose it narrows the bridge. Awesome stuff really! It looks like a real tan (not orangey at all) and lasts a Long Long time. $28 may sound expensive for a bronzer, but I wear it everyday (even in the wiinter to spruce up pale skin) and it lasts an entire year or so. So $28 for a year and a half of bronzer is a good deal! Benefit is also an awesome company! May 20, 2008, 9:21 am

I have a light complexion that tans easily, and this bronzer just made my face look dirty. It's too talcy, too matte, and too light. If I had a tan, this bronzer would be lighter than my tan! If I had a tan, this bronzer would be lighter than my tan! I prefer more heavily pigmented, darker bronzer with shimmer, which I think describes a good bronzer anyway. This is more like a regular face powder for medium dark skin. The good thing is that it's finely milled, but the packaging is so small that the price is to rob you. April 26, 2008, 4:04 am

    Perfect Sun-Kissed Look

When i loook a little pale, a quick swipe of Hoola always makes me look better. Since I'm naturally a little pink in the cheeks, I like that this warms up my face without making me too orange or red. It helps to use a big brush, otherwise you can get a stripe of color, but the overall glow is great. It also is good on other parts of the body - the upper chest/decollatage for example. It's not cheap, but lasts a long time, since you don't need a lot at a time. April 20, 2008, 4:18 pm

If you need to add shimmer you can add a shimmery highlighter. Looks great under any blush. Non-streaky if you use a real round powder brush and not the one it comes with. Packaging is cute but not convenient to take with you in your purse or in your kit if you're an artist. But can't complain because it lasts for a long time. February 18, 2008, 7:36 pm

I have very very fair skin so most bronzers are too dark/obvious on my skin. For the most part, I'm pleased with this product except for the brush. It puts on way too much of the bronzer so it looks streaky so the salesperson recommended a feather brush which works well. Plus there's a lot of product for such a small box so I still have a lot left after a few months of use. February 7, 2008, 2:48 pm

I agree with the other reviews the brush sucks! The little hairs fall out and get all over your face and the rectangular shape of it makes unnatural strokes on your face. The product is great, don't tell too many people or they know the secert to looking tanned all year around. I stopped going to the tanning salon and ruin... heavy and too dark

    by annieboo33 (44 reviews)
this product felt heavy and kind of dirty looking. it really all depends on the color of your skin, and if you have really fair skin, i woudlnt recommend it . however, if you want to accentuate a tan you already have, its great ! May 24, 2008, 6:48 pm
