Not for me...
This is a decent gentle cleanser, but it has really never shown any results for me for treating or preventing acne. Great Face Cleaner
I really love this cream cleanser because it really works to keep my skin free of breakouts and moisturizes. The lather is great and really soothing on my skin. Drying and doesn't remove makeup
The product warns that it may dry your skin so that is not part of my rating. The name 'Deep Clean' is definitely not accurate. I used this according to the instructions and when I was done, I used my Clinique Clarifying Lotion. For those of you who don't use Clinique, it's an exfoliative toner. When I use the Clinique product after a good cleanser, the cotton ball has almost nothing on it. When I used it after this Deep Clean cleanser, it was brown with makeup. It took two cotton balls to get all the makeup off my face. Unfortunately, this Neutrogena product does not measure up to many of the others I use and love (including the rain bath body wash). This cleanser didn't feel like a cleanser to me, it seemed thick and waxy going on and didn't wash off very easy. I didn't feel clean after I rinsed it off either, I felt more like I had a very drying residue left on my face, no matter how many times I splashed and rubbed, even using a baby wash cloth. Okay at Best

Recommended...
The first time I went to the drugstore to buy an acne specific product, I was blown away with the number of creams and toners that I would have to choose from. Luckily, there was a mother-daughter duo in the same aisle looking for the same product. They had just come from the dermatologist, I overheard, so I decided I was going to buy whatever they bought. How great for me that it was this product! I use it nightly to remove my makeup and have been virtually blemish free for fifteen years. My skin is so smooth and moisturized after using this. You can feel it working as soon as you put it on. If I do have a breakout, I just dab a small amount on the area and sleep with it on overnight. Hmmm..
I'm not sure what I think about this product. It makes my face feel really "cold" when I use it, and it doesn't do anything for my acne. It cleans my face, and gets off some makeup--but not the tougher stuff. It made my face kind of dry which in turn made my skin even oilier later on.
