Works, but...
So this product works, but so does baby shampoo. I would save my money and buy some fabulous bareMinerals eyeshadows instead. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Works but doesn't kill bacteria
I use this as one of two cleaning products for my brushes. I alternate between using this and using Jane Iredale's antibacterial spray cleaner. The thing I like about this Bare Escentuals product is that it really gets all the product out of the brush hairs. After using the spray cleaner, there is still a lot of powders left in the brush. I pour a little bit of this in the palm of my hand, run some hot water, and swirl the brush. Out comes everything! Rinse well, then dry completely. The brushes stay soft. This bottle lasts quite a while so don't worry about having to repurchase every couple of months. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

a MUST
I agree with those that say this is a MUST. Keep your brushes clean, soft, conditioned and well cared for. A little pricey, in my opinion, but definitely better than the old 'baby shampoo and water' thing. I will never use anything else to clean my precious makeup brushes! I have spent way too much money on my brushes to use anything less than the best for them. — 3 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Usually works well, but a little pricey
I've used this cleanser on my makeup brushes for years and I like it. But recently I started using a new foundation, and for some reason it just would not come out of the brush when I used this (annoying!). So I switched to regular hair shampoo and that did the job beautifully. I will continue to use the BE cleanser, but when it runs out I'm gonna stick with a cheap hair shampoo-it's much more affordable and works just as well. — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

A must for your brush!
Washing your cosmetic brushes on a regular basis is just as important as keeping your toothbrush clean (which, by the way, I soak in a glass with denture cleaner tabs twice per week, then discard and replace monthly…but I digress…) or your body, for that matter. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I am using my mineral powder brush on a face that isn’t necessarily clean – especially during the day after being outside in the smog, on the train with bodies and armpits inches from my face, in elevators, sitting in traffic with the window open getting car exhaust in my face, etc. Bare Minerals brush conditioning shampoo is awesome. It gets rid of all the powder, sweat, dust, etc., that multiplies in the brushes each time you use them. I have 4 sets of makeup brushes: 1) the bathroom (get ready in the morning) set; 2) the back-up bathroom set; 3) the mini-size set I keep in my purse’s makeup bag; and 4) a set I keep in my travel bag. Since I wash the brushes a couple of times per week, the back-up bathroom set is very important. You never know, especially on the weekends, when you might have to use the brushes more than once per day. If you need to use them after the morning show and they are still wet, you would be screwed. I wash the brushes in my purse on a weekly basis, depending on whether or not I have used them. The ones in my travel bag I wash when I get home from a trip and let them dry before repacking. Bare Minerals brush shampoo goes a long way so you don’t have to worry about the cost. It lasts for months. I read one reviewer’s comments that said she uses “baby shampoo” because it is cheaper. I haven’t tried that, but I am content with using a product that is made to clean what I am cleaning. Make sure you hold the brushes down when cleaning them and run your fingers through the bristles in a downward motion. (Don’t smash the bristles around like you’re washing your dog or something.) If you don’t believe that washing your brushes will do anything about getting rid of dirt and bacteria, wash them for this reason – IT PROLONGS THE LIFE OF YOUR BRUSHES AND BRUSHES CAN BE EXPENSIVE! — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Ew.. Gross!
My brushes that is! I actually thought I would have to replace my brushes because they were feeling very rough, but I went to Sephora and bought this product and my brushes were like new. Soft just like the day I bought them. I was amazed at the amount of old product and dirt that came off. Make sure to rinse and dry them completely. I did have a little bit of residue left after washing and drying them to quickly and it did effect my makeup! — 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

My favorite brush cleanser!
Cleans amazingly but don't use too much on your denser brushes, it will be harder to wash the soap out — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Worth the money!
I know that it seems kind of silly to spend so much on a brush shampoo but it is totally worth the money! Just think about how much you spend on your brushes and by just cleaning them with this moisturizing shampoo you will have great brushes that last a lifetime. It is super easy to use, and I will probably never have to buy another bottle because a little bit goes a long way. I dab a little of the shampoo on every brush I own once or twice a month and then rinse them with warm water until they are clean. I let them dry overnight and they are all like brand new! I would recommend this to anyone who loves their brushes and wants to keep them like new! — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
