Ten Stars for Glorious, Smooth Color!
Lancome "L'Absolu Rouge" Lipstick has been in my purse for more than twenty years. The shades are amazing. Good and bad...
I bought this lipstick in Crushed Rose, as the color was almost exactly the same as another lipstick I wanted, but was sold out. It's good and bad. One thing I like about it is the rich pigmentation. I don't need a lot to get a nice color, and this shade is very nice (compliments my fair skin, red hair & brown eyes combo very well--which is not always easy to find since most redheads have blue eye...read mores...). It also goes on very creamy, the tube is sleek and pretty with magnetic closure, so there's less fear that letting this kick around in my (expensive) purse will result in a lipstick disaster. But for me, shortly after application, it stops being very creamy and starts to feel rather dry. This lipstick also has a scent that I think is meant to be perfume-y, but to me comes off more like cheap drugstore lipstick. Ultimately, though--in spite of it's shortcomings, I'm going to keep it and will probably wear it regularly. It does last well, in my experience of wearing it all day today, and it doesn't require lip liner to prevent bleeding and feathering. Heart broken.
A Lancome flop in lipstick which is so heart breaking! The color I got ended up looking ugly and was difficult to get the color to show up on my lips, so I have another ugly useless tube of lipstick to add to that every growing, expensive pile of cosmetics gone bad, way bad!!This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 2 people said helpful

Blushed Rose
This is a taupe rose color with tremendous payoff. It is soft and subtle. It has long lasting effects. I've worn it so much that there I am scraping the bottom now. It is one of my favorite colors. My favorite lipstick
I love how this lipstick allows you to choose how strong you want the effect to be; apply one coat for a subtle sheen of color, and more coats for a more dramatic effect. You can also really feel that it moisturizes and conditions. Drying
How did I end up with oily skin but dry lips? I'll never know, but one thing that I do know is that this lipstick made my dry lips feel even drier. I had to constantly reapply as it didn't last as long as I had expected. I would say that drug store brands had longer staying ower than this product. I Absolutely Love Le Rouge Absolu!
I love this lipstick. It is creamy and moisturizing. It glides on without having to apply a layer of moisture underneath and it lasts for hours. My favorite color is Rose Petal. Smooth and creamy, the way lips should feel
I like my lips to feel smooth and creamy, and I love this lipstick! I only wish they would carry the European colors here in the United States. I'd had run-ins with other lipsticks which felt like they contained sandpaper particles. Who wants to feel grit on their lips? Worse were the lipsticks which dried my lips out. This is a keeper! Nice colors for the office
