Not much of a pink wearer but...

this one is changing my mind. This shade is blue-based and seems to really bring me back to the pin-up girl look just like the name of it says. I like reds but this one is quickly becoming a favorite pink!

Didn't Have Much Luck...

A lot of rave reviews here but when it comes to mascara, I am hard to please. This one seemed to flake off rather quickly and gave me racoon eyes hours later under my lower lashes.

Good Value for the $

Lots of buzz around OLAY’s new ProX skin care line. This collection of six skin care products was 3-years in the making and is made with a sprint in mind instead of a jog. What I mean by that is that they guarantee you will see results within 28-days. The goal with this line is to bring the skin back to how it performed when it was younger. I’ve been rocking the Age Repair Lotion with SPF 30 the past couple of weeks and so far so good. And with the average price of $47 per product, they are a great value. Want even more bang for you buck? Pick up thePro-X Anti-Aging Starter Protocol. It contains the Age Repair Lotion (1oz), Wrinkle Smoothing Cream (1oz) and Eye Resoration Complex (.3oz). These are a great value in these tough financial times.

Me Likey

What’s on peoples’ mind when it comes to hair cleansers? Being sulfate-free and this is a trend I'm on board with! But what about sulfate-free but that also works for those of us that color our hair. You may remember last year when we just thought using products that were sulfate-free would make our hair color last longer. No, no, no, it also has to have a color support system in it. You live, you learn. For the price these EverPure products are worth it. You still get the lather (how'd they do that??) without the color stripping ingredients. Big recommendation!

Gillette Gives Us the Next Step in Conquering Hair Removal

If there’s one area of beauty where technology can be seen at its finest, it’s that of the razor. Used to be that a razor was just a razor but not anymore. They have more blades than ever and now we’re getting in to those that have extra gadgets on it. Take the new Venus Embrace from GiLLETTE. It has 5 blades, count ‘em, 5 blades to remove hair. Soon we’ll be up to 10, right? And on either side of the blades is a Protective Ribbon of Moisture, they call it, and have this phrase trademarked, that protects against nicks and cuts. So if you have a shaky hand when it comes to hair removal, this would be a good one to try.

Quality Lip Balms!

Who doesn’t love a great lip balm? Here’s a new line that has made the category of lip balms not just an after thought. The new MISSION SKINCARE line is an athelete diven line so you know they were thinking of extreme conditions when professional skateboarder Ryan Sheckler and professional snowboarder Gretchen Bleiler formulated the products. My favorite so far has to be these Lip Balmers. Choose from three different scents – Orange, Sweet Vanilla (my pick) or the Mint. Each is infused with SPF 15, Sunflower Oil, Jojoba Oil, Olive Oil, Zinc Oxide, and is preservative and paraben free. So you can guess that these really stand up to some severe conditions. I don’t think the above people would endorse a wimpy balm, do you?

This One Caught Me Off Guard but in a Good Way

This ORGANiX Teatree Mint Conditioner is one that totally caught me by surprise as I seem to be more skeptical of anything that has ORGANIC or ALL NATURAL. Most just don’t seem to work. But this ones puts some faith back in me. It contains jojoba oils, Panthenol, peppermint oils, Australian Tea Tree oils, Shea Butter and vitamin E, to name a few. And the most important trait? It detangles and conditions beautifully!

Bright Colors = Hot

I wrote about these on my site when they came out. Super bright colors on the fingertips and toes looks so hot when the skin is tan. I wasn't into the yellow one at the time but yellow maybe I'll try it out now.

I added this to my blogs Hall of Fame products

Have you ever used a product when the more you use it, the more you like it? This is the case with PAUL MITCHELL’s Super Skinny Serum. We featured this on the site back in Dec 07 and declared our love for it then but I’m taking it one step further and putting it in our Hall of Fame. Since I get to test out so many products, I have to say this is the best hair straightener/stylers/defrizzers I have ever used. Better than the, dare I say it, Living Proof products we recently featured on the site that are made just for frizzies.

Can't Believe I'm the First One to Rave About This Pencil!

I’m really loving the BENEFIT line right now. I’ve always been hit or miss with the line and the past two products have both been hits (the other is the new CORALista)! One I am telling anyone who will listen about is their BADgal Extra Black Waterproof Eye Pencil. You know the part inside your bottom lid that you can run color along and it’s gone within 2 minutes - the waterline, I believe I have heard some youtubers call it? Since this one is waterproof, it stays put there! And on the other side of the pencil is a smudger to if you choose to do your whole eye with the liner, it won’t creep down your face during that sad, sad movie.
