A MUST have!

Did you know that sun damage contributes more to aging than hormones, stress, genetics, or lifestyle? Scary huh? It's SO easy to prevent sun damage! This sunscreen from Skinceuticals is amazing. Non-greasy, sweat and water-proof, and packed with great ingredients, it's a necessary product to use after moisturizer and before makeup. The zinc in this product can also help with redness! The price may seem high, but you only need a pea size amount for the face and neck. A little goes a long way!

Flaky and dull? Try this!

Exfoliating is a key step in every skin care regime for any skin type. For oily or acne prone skin types it's especially difficult to find an exfoliant that doesn't tear up the skin. Fruit enzyme maskes are fantastic! Since they're chemical and not mechanical there is little chance of spreading bacteria from one part of the face to another. It can be a little uncomfortable on the face at first, but it's worth the very small amount of discomfort with the results you get. I've found that you can stretch these little packets out to two or three applications each. $10 is very little for such a great treatment that you can potentially use up tp 12 times. Be sure to apply to the face AND neck and possible the decollete. The neck is part of the face after all!

Great for adult acne! No benzoyl peroxide!

Ah, the quest for a great acne system for those of us with adult acne. It's akin to finding the holy grail! No one kit is perfect for everyone, but Murad comes close. The fact that this system has no benzoyl peroxide instantly drew me to it. Benzoyl peroxide can be extremely drying and may be harsh on adult skin. The Murad Acne Complex utilizes salicylic acid, a beta hydroxy acid, and sulfur, which dries blemishes without making skin itchy and flaky. One item I wish they had included in this kit is the Clarifying Toner. If your skin is getting itchy or doesn't feel quite right, add the toner as a step after the cleanser. My face was much happier after I did this! Also, you can include thr Fruit Enzyme Mask, the Clarifying Mask, and the Clarifying Supplements for even great results. Clear skin is an investment, much like buying a car, but infinitely cheaper. Remember that your skin will appear worse before you see the results you're expecting. This is because the products are drawing impurities to the skin's surface to clear the pore. Just be diligent and don't give up! You'll be glad you tried it at least.

Everday essential.

Little do most people know but toning the skin after cleansing and masking is essential. It restores the skin's natural pH and tightens the pores if only temporarily giving the skin a luminous and prepping it for moisturizer and the onslaught of the day. This Murad toner is fabulous for oily/acneic skin! The tingly feeling after application is exhilarating. I've noticed that using this toner as part of Murad's Acne Complex system is key. I wish it were actually included in the kit!

Not bad at all!

I'm crazy about mascara that gives me the look of flase eyelashes without all the glue and precision. Too Faced Lash Injection really helped me out! The color is a beautiful glossy black that looks amazing on everyone. I haven't had any problems with smudging or flaking and I'm one of those people that pushes my makeup to the limit! If it stays on all day and night without any problems, I'm hooked. The actualy mascara does smell a tad weird, but I'm sure people won't try to smell my eyelashes unless their psychotic. Now that a mini version is available, you can try it without paying the full price. It's worth it!

Oh, be still my heart...

When this product was released, I was ambivalent. I really has a tough time applying the product as Benefit intended. The brush just didn't lend itself to...applying makeup. With all of the boxed powders the first thing I do is TOSS the brush, very far away. A regular domed blush brush is a much better way to apply this product. Having discovered this, I instantly fell in love with the product. I simply sweep the bronzer side on like I would any other bronzer, on the cheeks, a swipe down the nose (my favorite), and a bit across the forehead and chin. Then I apply the highlighter, which I was ALL the time, even more than the bronzer, on top of the cheekbones. Talk about gorgeous! It makes skin GLOW. As a makeup artist, I use this product on every one of my brides. They love the way it plays up that wedding day glow. Aside from the atrocious brush, Benefit's 10 is a product that loves you back.

Shiny happy people.

In my youth (ok, high school), I had an aversion to blush thinking that it would make me look like a clown and people would laugh at me. Now that I've developed into a woman blush is my BFF. I've tried the gammit of blushes and keep returning to a tried and true favorite. MAC Blush in Cubic has to be one of the prettiest colors on the market. The color makes me look like I've just worked out but without the sweat. The powders are finely milled and the colors are true and richly pigmented. With such a wide array of colors every skin tone can keep the color demure or loud and exaggerated. Whatever your look MAC Blushes have got you covered.
