Didn't see a color change, but did see greasy hair

I bought this to treat myself and hopefully give my natural red tones a lift. I used it as directed on the bottle and used about half the bottle before tossing it out. I never saw any change in my hair tone, but did find that when I used it that my hair felt limper and greasier. I have wavy hair that tends to be dry, so on my hair stylists recommendation, I only wash it every other day. It cuts down on split ends, dryness and frizz. My hair looks fine only doing an every other day wash - it usually looks better on day two, actually. With this stuff I HAD to wash it daily. Half the time once it dried I felt like I had to wash it again. I was really disappointed. I was also using this in conjuction with the John Frieda reds shampoo and still didn't see any noticeable shade changes.

Softer, easier to shave hair

With regular use of this, I found that the hair that I shaved was softer and easier to shave. I was also using this in conjuction with the positively smooth lotion, so that might have helped as well. There is no fragrance to it really, and I know its probably better for my skin, but I kind of like a little 'aromatherapy' while shaving :) My legs always felt smooth and moisturized afterwards. However, its a relatively small can and a bit pricier than other gels, so I don't use it regularly anymore because I just can't afford to being a stay at home mom with two kids. But if you can afford the extra buck or two, I highly recommend it!

Worked for me

I used this shortly after the birth of my first child on some stretch marks. I followed the instructions of the 2-3 times a day application and put it on the side where the marks were the worst. After using about two tubes worth of it religiously, the marks did fade quite a bit. Even now, 4 years later, the side I used the ointment on more heavily is less noticeable than the side I used it more sparingly on. I might have had even better results had I been able to continue to use it, but at 8-10.00 a tube, and a new baby, and a low paying job, I just couldn't. On the flip side, I think one of the ways it works is by killing of the top layer of skin and forcing your body to make a new layer. My skin itched and peeled. So, that is an annoying side effect to deal with. Not sure if everyone has that issue when using it, but I did. I figured it was part of how it worked. I have never tried it on older scars. If it wasn't so pricey I would be willing to try it on my 1 year old stretch markes from my 2nd child.
