While the scent seems bitter and citrus-y at first sniff, let it dry and you'll soon discover the floral, modern scent beneath. It's a light, summery fragrance so people around you won't be turned off by an overly strong smell but the longevity is really poor. The fragrance fades quickly and needs to be reapplied almost hourly for maximum effect. This is a shame because apart from the price, it's the only negative quality.

This product dazzles from the moment it's applied. Though the gloss feels waxy on lips and has a slightly strong wax smell, it's smooth and gives a off a striking amount of shine with just a hint of color. Eight very natural shades are bound to complement any complexion. At $13.50, it's hardly a steal but not too expensive. And since one application (okay, two) can withstand cups of tea and high-pressure work days, it gets a definite thumbs up.

The Body Shop Seaweed Deep Cleansing Facial Wash is no miracle worker, but it consistently keeps skin feeling clean, grease-free and balanced. It lathers well in the shower, rinses off easily and is practically scent-free (for you fussy types). It's even guy-friendly if you feel like sharing. The gel should send your blemishes packing with an overall organic feel (thanks to the seaweed ingredient). And it's part of a full line, so you can get a matching toner, moisturizer and face mask to round out your routine.
