much too rough for sensitive skin

While I like the other products in L'Occitane's almond apple line, I found this scrub to be far too harsh for my sensitive skin. The scrubbing particles are small, but feel jagged and scratchy on my face. After using this product, my face had little raised red bumps all over. They disappeared fairly quickly, but who needs that? A scrub with rounded synthetic beads is definitely preferable to the crushed nut particles that are in this not-so-"sweet peel".

hand cream of the gods!

The monoi version of this hand cream is absolutely the best I have ever tried. Its thick and creamy consistency leaves the skin on the backs of my hands buttery soft. It smells lightly coconutty with a hint of tahitian monoi flower--distinctive but not overpowering. The best thing about this product is that it healed a patch of eczema on the back of my hand that I suffered with for years, when even medication did not help. The skin had thickened and looked discolored--not attractive at all. This cream soothed the itchiness, and after using it daily for several months the patch had faded considerably. Now you can't even tell it was ever there. If Fruits & Passion ever discontinues this cream, I'll cry for days.

better than makeup remover!

I have used many, many cleansers, and this one by Philosophy is by far the best at removing all traces of makeup. In fact, it works better than any dedicated eye makeup remover that I've ever tried. You just need a dime-sized amount to thoroughly cleanse your skin, and it never leaves skin feeling tight or dry. Considering that my skin is incredibly sensitive and easily dehydrated, this is somewhat amazing. I use this product at night, and in the morning use a more moisturizing cream cleanser--this combination leaves my skin soft, hydrated, and clean. Love it!

amazing color selection

Zoya makes some of the most unique polish colors I've seen--they have some gorgeous coppery red hues that I've never seen the likes of anywhere else. I love that they're missing a lot of the chemicals that you'll find in more mainstream brands, while they still have great lasting power on my toenails. And they're very reasonably priced to boot!

perfect consistency & natural finish

After years of wearing medium-coverage foundation, I finally mustered up the courage to go a little more bare and try a sheerer formulation. I wanted something that would still let my own skin shine through, while evening out my skin tone and smoothing its texture. I've found my perfect match with Clinique's Almost Makeup. It covers just enough, while never feeling heavy on my skin, and contains an SPF as well! I still use a bit of concealer for stray blemishes and undereye circles, but overall the coverage is just what I need. The price is very reasonable, and a tube lasts for a couple of months with everyday use. My only gripe: the product tends to separate a bit. (I'm still on my first tube, so I'm not sure if this is a normal occurrence, or specific to the tube I got.)

a staple in my house!

This foot cream feels and smells refreshing--minty yet with more complexity, like many of Aveda's products. It's rich but not greasy, and absorbs fairly quickly into the skin. The exfoliating ingredients do help to keep dry patches at bay, but not as much as my fave, AmLactin cream. Nevertheless, I always keep a tube of this on hand for when I feel like I need some luxurious foot cream.

too heavy for my hair...

So I know a lot of people love this product, and I like the Kiehl's aesthetic so I gave it a try. Unfortunately, I felt that it made my hair feel lank and kind of dirty, even when I only used a small amount. It also has a bit of a strange odor that doesn't go away right away. The product is quite thick, so it's difficult to squeeze out of the bottle as well. All in all, it's not one of my favorite Kiehl's products--I much prefer Fekkai glossing cream to tame frizziness and add shine.

so fresh

I use this as blush, layered over a bit of bronzer, and it's perfect for my fair skin. It adds a pop of natural-looking glowy color to brighten up my complexion. While the box may be a bit big for traveling with, I don't care because it's so darn cute. The brush is a bit stiff and not shaped properly for even application, so I usually use my own blush brush. All in all, one of my favorite Benefit products!

did not work for my sensitve skin

I really wanted to like this tinted moisturizer, and I love that a sunscreen is incorporated into it, but it did not live up to my expectations. The coverage is fairly sheer, but upon application it felt a bit dry to me and didn't spread as easily as I'd like. My skin is somewhat dry, so I still needed to wear another moisturizer under this. After a few days of use, I noticed that my cheeks were becoming red and irritated, so I realized that I might be allergic to something in the product and I discontinued its use. This would probably be better for someone with combination, non-sensitive skin.

so good for colored hair

This product is fantastic. It leaves the hair shiny, smooth, and moisturized, but not limp. I use a bit before blowdrying to protect my colored hair from the heat, and it allows the brush to slide smoothly through the hair without pulling. The finish is so nice after my hair is dry that I don't need to use my shine serum anymore! Though the product is extremely lightweight, a little goes a long way--definitely worth the price. (I use the Bain Miroir shampoo from the same line too--also a standout product.)
