Didn't work for me at all.

Got a sample of this from the Origins store (not many things work for my incredibly oily skin, and I get nervous about products causing breakouts, since I finished a course of Accutane not that long ago). PROS: Doesn't break me out/clog pores. CONS: Expensive (small 1. 7 fl oz bottle for $25). Strong smell. Doesn't keep me matte at all. Hate the little bottle with a twist off lid--you can buy a pump for $1 though. I'm really glad I didn't buy this product, because it doesn't work for me.

My favorite mascara

It lengthens, it volumizes, it doesn't smudge, it doesn't flake...what more could a gal ask for? (Well, actually, I wish it didn't cost $18!!) Worth the money? Until I find a cheaper mascara that rocks as much as Clinique High Impact, I'll keep coming back to it.

Fun but not functional.

PROS: It does look like whipped cream! CONS: It smells like Play-Doh. Seriously. I can't get over the smell, and it doesn't fade that much--I keep getting a whiff of it throughout the day! It's a nice but not fantastic product. And I think it may have been causing some little breakouts on my face. Even though my hair is a bit wavy, this doesn't maintain or enhance my waves at all--it actually seems to flatten them! I don't think I'd repurchase.

A good product--just don't use too much!

I like it! It makes your hair look nice and piece-y. It provides a bit of shine, and smooths my hair down. I have short hair, so it was easy to overdo it with the Microweb Fiber--a full pump is too much! Just smells lightly of styling product--fresh and clean and a bit sweet. It is a bit heavy but I don't mind. I might consider repurchasing this!

EW. smells like pine needles...

"A halo of radiant citrus illuminates the sensuality of lotus blossom caressed by warm woods and golden amber. SCENT SENSE: this is a woody scent. Sandalwood, cedarwood and vetiver adds warmth and richness." I do not understand the positive reviews for this at all. I tested it on my arm and immediately wanted to wash it off. It smells like cedar and pine needles--I was hoping for a lot more citrus!!! PROS: Inexpensive ($22.50 for 1. 7 fl oz). Cute bottle. CONS: Can't stand the scent. NOT something I would repurchase.

A mediocre fragrance.

"Feel the joy of crisp citrus and bold blossoms." This is a very fresh, citrus-y scent, with florals tying it together. PROS: Inexpensive ($16.50 for 1. 7 oz, frequently on sale). Decent bottls. CONS: Not great in terms of lasting power. I don't particularly care for the scent, TBH. While I don't care for heavy scents, I don't find this to be terribly sophisticated either. It's simple and pleasant enough, just not my type.

Didn't really like it.

I have a little sample blisterpack of this product in Beauty Queen (red) and have not actually seen the actual product size or packaging in real life (but I did compare listed product amounts to Benefit's Benetint/Posietint--see below). TheBalm Stainiac: $15 for 0 .3oz ($50/oz) Benefit Posietint/Benetint: $28 for 0 .4oz ($70/oz) I haven't tried Benetint so I can't compare it to Stainiac. However I love Posietint and would be interested to see if TheBalm's Stainiac in Prom Queen is similar. PROS: Decent length of wear. Buildable color. CONS: Doesn't apply evenly. Shows up more on my fingers than anywhere else (didn't show up on cheeks, looked blotchy on lips)! Hard to remove from hands as well. Overall, I wouldn't purchase Stainiac in Beauty Queen. If I'm only going to get one stain, it would probably be Benefit's Posietint.

A Holy Grail product.

I own many Smudge Pots: -the trio of minis in Gray, Black and Bronze -Cobalt (a darker blue, not quite navy, with a sheen) -Cobalt Clutch (a vibrant primary blue with shimmer) -Jade (a lovely olivey green with a sheen) I use my Ecotools angled eyeliner brush with these, and they work great. PROS: Great creamy texture (not too firm or not soft). Very highly pigmented (although Cobalt Clutch and Purple Pumps are less so). Lasts all day without flaking or smudging, even on my lower lash line AND on my waterline! Can be used to make precise lines or can be smudged out when still "wet." Sturdy packaging. Gorgeous colors. CONS: A bit expensive. More product than you can use before it dries up. (Although none of mine have dried out at all, and I've had the minis for almost a year! Even if I use up only half of the product, it'll have been worth the $20 for this product--you get more product and applications than you would for some $20 eye pencil, and I have yet to find a pencil or any other liner product that I love as much as these, besides MAC Fluidlines!) Overall, these are HG products for me. I absolutely love the pigmentation, the texture, the lasting power, and the colors. I hope they don't discontinue any of these great colors, and they they do keep adding to the line!

Disappointing

Although I'm not a fan of Kate Moss, I loved the magazine sample of this--it smelled sweet and rosy, yet sophisticated, which is exactly what I like. I was thrilled when I received a sample tube to try out. YSL.com claims this scent smells of Blackberry - Damask Rose - Sandalwood, which I didn't really smell... Upon first spray I could smell the Rose and Berry tones, but they quickly faded. Then I could slightly smell the Vinyl, with a lot of strong Rose scent. Eventually, Parisienne dried down into a baby powder scent with a tiny bit of musk/sandalwood? and maybe a bit of Vinyl, Berry and Rose somewhere in there. PROS: A nice fragrance. GORGEOUS bottle. CONS: Not as long lasting as I would expect from YSL. While pleasant, I don't think I'll run out and buy it. It's nice but the baby powder scent isn't really my type. Definitely worth giving a test, to see how it reacts with your skin.

A nice product but a bit spendy for what they are...

PROS: Nice range of colors. I like the consistency and wear of the product (yes, they are a bit sticky, but I like sticky glosses because they last longer on my lips). I like the sqeeze tube applicator. I like that they slightly plump and moisturize my lips! CONS: Fairly sheer (both the Jelly and Smoothie varieties--Smoothies claim to offer a "medium wash of color" but it's pretty light unless you slather on a lot of gloss.) They are all scented. All of the ones I try smell really strong, and most of them are sugary candy sweet (I'd prefer something a bit more subtle). Sometimes Lancome makes ones that are a total dud, so try before you buy (UGH, I still feel sick when I think about Joyeaux, a pine scented and flavored Juicy Tube! It was like eating tree sap!!!) A bit expensive ($18 for a fairly sheer, strongly scented gloss? It seems like I could get something like that from the drugstore for less). I really do like the Lancome Juicy Tubes, but would probably only purchase them as part of a GWP, or in a mini set from the Lancome Outlet.
