Expensive, but worth it.

This stuff is awesome. Not only is it super fun to use, but it works great, tastes great, and smells great. My husband even tolerated a trial and didn't complain that much about it (which really is a compliment). It is hydrating, smoothing and yummy all at once. I've tried other lip scrubs, but this is a head-and-shoulders above the rest. Yes, it is expensive, but a little bit goes a long way, so I expect this jar to last me for at least the next few years.

"natural" but still effective

Even for people, like myself, who are indifferent to 'organic/natural' marketing ploys, the PF Organic War Eye Makeup Remover Pads are an excellent product. One pad is enough to clean both eyes and I am fully impressed with how effectively the eye makeup is swept away. Even sticky stuff like liquid liner or waterproof mascara is easily lifted. It is gentle, doesn't irritate my eyes, and doesn't leave a film. The clear, liquid soaked pad has the consistency of toner. In fact, it kind of reminds me of toner except that it removes eye makeup. Thankfully, there is no "organic" scent. It does have some cucumber extract and lavender essential oil in the mix, but the end product is essentially scent-free as far as I can tell. One thing that I think is really cool is that the pads themselves are compostable.

Pricey, but very luxurious

It has a dense cream consistency and applies beautifully. Although it is called a "butter," it isn't stiff or difficult to spread like some others. Overall, it is very luxurious and soaks in almost immediately without leaving a greasy feel on the skin. As far as moisturizing properties go, it is quite good. Typically I use it before going to bed and sometimes do the whole lotion + white socks trick for extra measure. In the morning, my hands and feet are notably softer. Containing shea butter, acai and grape seed oils for moisturizing and antioxidant protection, the Hand & Foot Butter protects as it perfects. I think it will be perfect for combating inevitably dry winter skin. The packaging is an exquisite, teal-colored jar with a polished top. It looks very elegant sitting on the night stand. Lisa Hoffman Spa Bath Hand & Foot Butter is definitely not on the cheap side of body products, clocking in over $30 on the Lisa Hoffman website. But, on balance, it is beautifully packaged and fragranced and performs amazingly well. For the expense, it definitely doesn't disappoint. I would give it a "10" except for the price, but otherwise it is perfect.

Beautiful!

In Madagascar Orchid, the flowery and powdery notes evoke the gentle sensuality of the orchid flower. With base notes of sheer jasmine, ylang dew, mimosa and pink peony, each variant builds on the next as the scents gently evolve, becoming richer and more complex as the day progresses. The morning variant is very soft, inoffensive and is the most powdery to my nose. The daytime variant features more pronounced floral notes. The evening version turns more sweetly sensual and adds a hint of spiciness. The bedtime version I happen to particularly enjoy because I love putting on a little perfume before bed. This one is especially suitable because it is mellow and comforting, recalling the entire olfactory journey of that day. Overall, I am pretty much in love with Lisa Hoffman and Madagascar Orchid. I love the idea, the execution and the evolving fragrance itself. The whole thing is just incredibly sophisticated, chic and yet fun at the same time. I would not hesitate to try any of Hoffman's other scents. Although Madagascar Orchid and the others run a bit on the expensive side, it would make a truly elegant gift for someone this coming holiday season. Or for oneself during any season!

Playful and mysterious

I found Parisienne to be a bit sharp on initial application -- likely from the vinyl accord (meant to invoke the metal of a spike heel). As a result, my first impression was not favorable. However, the top notes fade quickly and the middle floral comes out add back the romance. At this point, I can see why some reviewers have likened it to a "grandma" fragrance -- the floral is pretty intense. However, after the floral settles and the masculine bottom notes are apparent, the fragrance is suddenly one that I absolutely find appealing. The beautiful dry down lasts an incredibly long time and I continue to steal sniffs throughout the day when wearing it.

It's a winner!

My big advice about L'Oreal True Match: make sure you get the right shade for you and, after that, the stuff works like a dream. Don't use the transparent card against the wrist like it instructs. Instead, compare it to your jawline. I took a friend to the store and then we held up different bottles up to my chin to find the one that looked the closest -- a much better system. Overall, this is an excellent product especially at the very affordable drugstore price. It blends easily and naturally for light-medium coverage. The finish is not completely matte but not totally dewy -- essentially it leaves a nice, fresh look to the skin that isn't heavy or mask-like in any way and easily lasts all day.

Cool idea, hard to get used to the wand

Using this product, I was able to achieve some very long, spidery lashes. Unfortunately, overall I found problems with over-application leading to major clumping to be a real turn-off. It took more time to apply, which is never a good property for a daily use product like mascara. I don't think that the wand concept in and of itself is a bad idea, it's just that when it's not what you are used to, it can lead to a rocky start. Also, I should add that I don't think the formula is at fault for the clumping problems I experienced, but rather it was due to getting too much product on the lashes as a result of the wand. The formula itself was rather nice and I didn't experience any flaking or smudging at all.

Interesting scent.

It does have a really interesting scent with infusion of rosemary and mint. It is a spicy smell that is not saccharine-sweet in any way. It does come off as a little strong initially, but quickly fades. With regard to its ability to function as a hair spray, I would give it a solid B. It's not amazing, but it is passable. I think the main advantage to using it would be the UV protection. So if you want to protect your color-treated hair, spending the money on this spray might be a reasonable idea. If you are just looking for a good hair spray for daily use, I think that there are cheaper alternatives.

Why so big?

t is quite a difference and I think my lashes definitely look fuller. The brush does a good job of grabbing every little lash to achieve this, but I found that it was a little tricky to use. Due to the large size of the brush, it would often place mascara beyond the lashes on my eyelid which then needed to be cleaned up with a cotton swab. Eventually I got the hang of it and needed less clean up, but it was a persistent problem with the new mega-brush. My other complaint is with the size of the container. Why does mascara need to be in these humongous containers? One of the best selling mascaras of all time, Maybelline Great Lash, has a small, very compact container and people love it. Is there some idea that the larger the container, the larger the space it will take up in my heart?
