The way your heart leaps into your throat when you drop your favorite eye shadow palette, and you rush to see if it remains unscathed. The way you frantically scour the Internet for dupes when they discontinue your favorite lipstick. The way you basically lose the will to live as you watch your full-to-the-brim loose powder arc towards your carpet in slow motion: These are all feelings that all makeup-lovers are, unfortunately, far too familiar with.
We like to think of makeup as something of a safe haven, but it's not without its own hazards and pitfalls. Sadly, makeup tragedies happen to the best of us -- no matter how careful you are, you've left at least one lipstick in a hot car, and shattered at least one glittery eyeshadow quad (and probably more than that).
